I didn't know what I wanted in a kitchen towel except for not what I had. I use these to clean my glasses and they work great. Now I have a set for the kitchen. They are very absorbent whereas my old towel needed replacing throughout the day. They are on the thin side, but it doesn't detract from their usability. I dried mine without fabric sheets, like I do with my glasses so they weren't so soft, but I wanted them to be. I am very happy with this purchase.

I love these flour sack towels. They're very absorbent. Previously I've bought another brand and they had some chemical barrier on them that prevented them from soaking up water/liquid (it took several washes to get the chemical off), but this brand doesn't have any chemical smell or barrier. Absorbed liquids very easily. I used these to hand dry dishes and they work very well. Very happy with purchase.

I grew up having flour sack towels in the kitchen used for drying dishes. Only item I will have when it comes to drying dishes. When they start to look well used, I then add them to my pile of rags to clean floors etc. . Or one can bleach them and spruce them up a bit.

These are my go-to dish towels. Sure, I have other dish towels -- terrycloth, heavier flour sack, smaller more traditional sizes, pretty ones, cute ones, plaid ones, seasonal ones... you get the idea. You may even have a collection like mine. But these are hands-down my favorite for USEFULNESS. They are absorbent, pleasant to handle and (I think) attractive in their iconic simplicity. While I usually let my dishes air dry, these do the job better and faster than other dish towels. And they themselves dry in no time. I wash or rinse my hands frequently while cooking and these are by far the most convenient for a quick dry. Thicker and/or stiffer ones stay damp much longer and are therefore not as sanitary. And economical? You could pay a whole lot more for all-cotton flour sack dish towels. But why would you?

Exactly what I wanted and expected, as described!! I washed & dried immediately & they came out exactly as I'd hoped. No excessive shrinkage, no funky smells, no weird weaving issues. They retained their shape, expected thickness, no loose threads or unraveling, good hems/borders, decent sewing, nice tight weave. Great product, great value/price; well pleased!! Will buy again!
