Normal light strings have a male end that goes into an electrical socket and a female end that can be connected to another string... Not these! These have two male ends so that you can plug one end in and get a super fun shock if you touch the other end as 110V hits you. It doesn't stop there with these lights... There are 48 on the string and two spares on a separate 2ft string... so, 50 total, not 52 as advertised. I don't know how you replace these anyway because the plastic cover comes off, but the LED part stays in the socket. Finally, the wiring actually has electrical tape wrapped around it in a couple places. I've never purchased anything in my life that was sold with electrical tape wrapped around the middle of the wire. I didn't unwrap it to see what fun surprise china sent us beneath it... One star because when they are plugged in they are really pretty and very bright. I was afraid to leave them plugged in for more than 30 seconds though because this is the only house we own - no spares if it bursts into flames. ... show more

Seems like a decent product but be warned that the plug end of the strand is at least 8 feet without any lights, and the other end is about 2 feet without lights, so you get about 40 feet of lighting, not 50.

This product is advertised as approved for safe use outdoors all year, and claims to be IP65 certified which means it is weatherproof for snow, heavy rain etc. In reality, the product that arrived has no IP certification paperwork or mention of an IP tested rating anywhere. The sticker says it’s for “temporary (90 days max) installation and use only” and that it “conforms to UL STD 388” - which is the standard for seasonal/holiday string lights (note that it doesn’t even claim to be UL certified). This is extremely misleading and there is no telling whether any safety testing or oversight of this product occurred. I have reached out to the seller to ask for more information and will update this review depending on if/what I hear back. ... show more

I have to be honest, I didn't expect much. I go camping a lot and I like to have something around the picnic table to make everything look festive. These lights are extremely bright and what's really cool about it is that they send you an extra bulb. If your a lot like me, you want to order at least 2 to go all the way around the top of the picnic cover because one won't quite make it. Otherwise, a great purchase at a great price. ... show more

I put these in my living room. They are so pretty during the day when not turned on(pretty decor) but then at night it creates the perfect cozy lighting! Definitely durable as we dropped them a few times when getting them hung up LOL. We used the command strips for lights so we could move them around until we got them were we wanted. I was really impressed by how bright these where. We were having an event that I need a splash of lights. I absolutely loved these. There were 4 bulbs in the set that were not lit when plugged in, a little tap on them and two came on but the others didn’t. They did provide two replacement bulbs in the box but I did not use them yet. I have not taken them down yet and so far we’ve had heavy rain and wind and they are still functioning.
