My husband and I finally decided enough is enough - it was time to do some investigating and find a travel mug for our coffee that didn't suck. After 5 minutes of strenuous research, it looked like Zojirushi, a brand we had both never heard of, was the front runner. We bought two 16 oz mugs and here are my thoughts after using it for a week - 1. Firstly, I still can't get over how light and small it is compared to the mug I was using previously. It looks smaller then my 12 oz mug, how does that make sense? I had to actually test it to prove it was in fact 16 oz and it is. They ain't lying! 2. It is not flimsy or cheaply made. It is a very well made mug. 3. The locking mechanism and rubber seal are AWESOME. I have never before used a mug that has the ability to literally NEVER let you drink its contents. Once closed and locked, you can through it around like a football and nothing is ever leaking. 4. I still can't believe how small it is. 5. I also can't believe I am actually saying this (this is the only 'negative' (though not negative enough to remove a star ha) I have found) but it keeps my coffee TOO hot. Like, I can't drink my coffee from this cup. I have to pour it into another cup because it it too hot and I keep burning my tongue. Legit. I pour coffee in at around 6am and even at noon it is still to hot to drink. Kind of annoying - I feel like I should be able to drink my drinks from the cup I bought for that purpose. So in conclusion TLDR; This mug can be used as a football, is smaller then most other mugs and keeps your hot drinks hotter than the sun. Fin. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is literally the best thermos I have ever owned! Temperature: I poured hot tea in it and was so busy I didnt drink it at school all day. So on my way home (10 hours later) I decided I didnt want to waste good tea and took a swig. OMG NOT A GOOD IDEA. It was still too hot for me! Even though I regretted that for a few seconds I was really surprised and impressed by this. Just for fun one time I tested it by pouring boiling water in it then 2 min later putting the cap on. I then checked the temp 18 hours later. Still hot. STILL HOT. Not warm. HOT. I do live in a warmer area so the coldest environmental temp was probably like 68-70F. With a vacuum seal that shouldnt matter but its worth mentioning. Cleaning: so easy! It comes apart and you can just wash and dry everything really well. Then reassemble in a few seconds. I even accidentally left milk and coffee go a little stinky in here once and after a regular wash there was no smell at all. That only happened one time but I was really happy about the lack of reminders of my mistake. Use: I have definitely locked this and just tossed it into my bag before. Its very secure and I have had 0 spills in 6 months of use. Also I like that when you tilt it to drink you dont get a Niagara Falls size gush of liquid onto your face. Glad some of you found my video helpful! I couldn't tell what the parts were and I thought this thermos was awesome and deserved a review so thats why I made it. Anyhow, I have had this same thermos for 1.5 years now and its still going strong. Ive taken it on lots of plane trips, shoved it in various luggages/bins to travel, really abused it as far as a thermos goes. But thats why I bought it! Still keeps my drinks unfailingly hot/cold, doesn't leak, looks great, and is still basically awesome. I even bought a couple more thermoses for family members and they are having the same success. Its worth the up front investment for this one. It does seem like a lot when you have $5-10 choices at supermarkets. I bought a bottle brush to clean it (OXO good grips bottle brush from supermarket) and it works perfectly. I don't take the whole thing apart every time- just give the parts a soapy soak/wash every few times then air dry and reassemble. 1/2023: still going strong. I've been using this for over a month and am very pleased with it. It's easy to wash, though if you use a thicker lip product, the residue may get onto the inside of the lid in a hard to reach spot. My old zojirushi thermos was always leaking coffee on me, but it was several decades old (and the temperature preservation was good still), so I purchased this for the leak proof factor and it's been amazing. I carry multiple water bottles so I needed this smaller thermos to be able to sit in a bag and be thrown around without spilling coffee everywhere. It keeps your drinks comfortably hot for a really long time. When I pour my coffee in there I keep the lid off for about half an hour so it cools to a temperature that won't burn my mouth. Tip: the lid + plastic drinking part is easiest to put back on the bottle when the flip top cap is open, because it will naturally let the plastic drinking part align without jamming the lid's fit on the bottle. It took me a few days to notice that and now I have no issues with refilling the thermos while I'm at work. Highly recommend the product. ... show more
