I bought this to retrofit into an existing porch to keep the dogs from walking away and not to be used with their fencing. It’s well made pvc and it’s a very clever design which is easy to assemble and pretty sturdy. I’m happy with the purchase overall but I can’t give it 5 stars because of the hardware they provide. The hinge is so small and thin there’s no way it’s going to hold up to frequent use. I already purchased replacement hardware to switch out. They came so close to a 5 star review but I can’t with this flimsy hardware they provide. ... show more

    • Laughable gate hardware, be prepared to design your own gate.
The fence is great but the gate is trash. I can't split my reviews so I'll average the rating. Truly laughable hardware for a gate. The hinges and latch are more likely to be used on a jewelry box or doll house, what they are supposed to do on a gate, I have no idea. If you must have a gate, I suggest getting 2x treated 4x4's with vinyl sleeves. Then just use a regular fence panel with the prongs trimmed off. The 4x4's can either be dug in or you can surface mount them to go over a sidewalk. Buy some real hinge hardware and self-adjusting gate latch since you will never be able to get a bolt latch to line up unless you have the patience of a saint. For the fence, I'd recommend getting the tulip auger if you have even moderate hard ground, drill three holes in a row that way you can shimmy the fence flush to the other panels. If you want to make this fence more durable (I have two kids under 2 and a 60lb dog, I put 4' x 1/2" rebar in every other panel section and its SOLID. ... show more

This is a cute fencing. it was easy to put together. Not the sturdiest to use for a full yard, but it worked for us. Used it for keeping our dogs away from the above ground pool heater and pump on one side of the pool.

    • Flimsy plastic, difficult assembly, waste of money

BEWARE! TERRIBLE PRODUCT . Difficult install (I build from scratch all of the time but bought this because install was supposed to be easy - it took me 3x longer than it would have to build from scratch). It looks okay when completed but very flimsy. One step of the assembly (after doing quite a bit of drilling in to hard plastic that does not have pre-drilled holes) is to use a small piece of wood and hammer the stakes down. When I did that the screws ripped right through the plastic and the horizontal bracing piece slid down and the screws broke through. It is a total waste of money and junk.     • The Fence is ok but don't get the Gate
The ease of assembly and installation, as well as the price, is ok with the Fence portion of this product. But I would highly recommend not using this product if you have to install a Gate with your setup. It was a pain. They neglected to put in a few holes that would have made the assembly so much easier. They give you a drill bit, but it's too small and you'll mess up the tiny screw because it fails to penetrate the pvc plastic material (make the hole a bit bigger). My biggest compliant though is with the hardware. The latch and the hinges are laughably small and impractical. Having used the gate for a few weeks, I can say it's the wrong type of latch. The kind that hooks over would have been much easier to use and install than the miniature version of the kind of latch that is akin to 'lock and load' movement of a gun (don't know the name). It's small, it's hard to fit through the hole to lock it, almost impossible with 1 hand. And the price for what it is, definitely not worth it. I would investigate another option if you plan on using the Gate for more than a year or two. Because it won't last. Yes, I dislike this product. ... show more

    • screws missing . Hard to put together. Takes LONGER than 60 minutes indicated n the box
I have sets of these to keep the dog on the decking area. Screwed them into the sides of the deck for sturdiness otherwise they wouldn't have stayed up. The box says 60 minutes to assemble but they are a tru PAIN. These people are CRAZY much more than 60 minutes. and then, once you have the major part of the gate assembles, you have to attach little angled pieces for further support. The trouble is, once the gats is together, there is not enough space to use a screwdriver. If they had only predrilled some holes for the piece, I could have screwed it in beforehand. OR leave out the two side side slats and put those in last. Either way, there should have been an easier way. ... show more
