I put 100' of this fencing , plus 2 gates, to enclose my backyard. Easy installation and directions. A little flimsier than I would have liked, but it keeps our little dog in and looks nice. I added vinyl lattice and end posts to finish off the look.

I am 70 yr. old female and put two panels together myself at one time. Only snag was, after getting slats all in, I realized the heights on A couple were wrong so had to take a butter knife and remove…one bent in easily and doesn’t snap tight now, but will glue it. I’d suggest using a dry erase marker and numbering slats according to height. Digging in my hard soil was a challenge, even with my daughters help. Ultimately, it looks great set up. ... show more

I purchased 8 boxes (16 fences), two posts and the gate - the whole shambang, close to $1K. . The ease of assembling the fences dependent on the particular box - dependent very much on the accuracy of the predrilled screw holes and the rail and post slots. In one box, the rail slots were so bad (too small for the pickets) that the pickets had to be forced through and caps popped off. One the cap cracked in the process and in two cases, the cap popped off into the interior of the rail, and cannot be recovered. The company doesn't provide any extra pieces of anything - caps, screws, connectors, etc., so if something goes array, you are stuck. I needed to go to the hardware store to buy extra screws and also L braces which interestingly came with the gate but not the posts or fencing. I would strongly recommend that the company provide a few of them with every fence. In assembly the fences, organizing the the pickets is unnecessarily time consuming as they are loosely put in the box. They are numbered 1-5 based on size. For most, the numbers are imprinted in the picket and can be very hard to see depending on the depth of the imprint. The company must realize this as several have a sticker with the number, which is much preferred. One of the fence boxes was short a "5" but had an extra "3", which luckily I had an extra picket from a piece I had to cut. The fencing is easy to place in the ground if you have no rocks, roots and the ground is not clay, and if there is no elevation of significance. I had all four issues and had to buy an electric auger through Amazon to make do. So, these are technically "no dig" in the ideal situation, but check out your ground before you purchase. One last issue is that the gate was missing a piece of hardware. I called the company and they were very responsive and sent a replacement readily. ... show more

This is a really great looking fence. Taken individually, the parts are pretty flimsy but once assembled with the gates it is much less so but there are a couple glaring design flaws. Note that the gate is farther off the ground than the fence panels, which are already sufficiently above the lawn as to practically dare a dog to go under. We placed bricks under the panels and gates to thwart that and that seems to work so far. She is not able to body slam the panels and knock them down which we took as a win (it is her go to move for any closed door or barrier). Nor was she able to squeeze through the slats mid-panel - once assembled they are sufficiently rigid to contain her. However, where the panels meet to form a corner SHE WAS ABLE TO EASILY BEND THE SLATS AND SLIP THROUGH, even though it appears to be a smaller space. It is difficult to explain, it has to do with the fact that the slats are opposing one another rather than side by side and and that placement renders them easily flexible. The edge of the slat is more rigid than the flat part. Sufficiently pliant that she ran through a corner as easily as her doggy door. We bought the wire fencing you see attached at the local hardware store and fastened them with strong zip-ties. Again, a really attractive fence but know that you will need to reinforce the corners with another post of some type (4X4?), or attach metal wire all the way around. A not unheard of option; having done so I've noticed lots of other types of fences use the same solution - most of the fencing that enclose horses use the wire. ... show more

I knew what to expect when I purchased this fence so I’m not surprised it wasn’t very sturdy. Vinyl is flexible and the two posts are in the middle so if you try to attached several sections together it will look nice but won’t hold up if someone leans on it or a kid tries to climb in it. I used it to protect my garden from our kids swing area so I actually cemented 4x4 posts into the ground in between each section. I purchased white vinyl sleeves to go over so it would match the fence. Now it is beautiful and very sturdy. I decided to purchase another set of two to go on top of a retaining wall to make sure the kids don’t fall if they get too close. If you just want a cute decorative fence this is an easy affordable option. It took me about 10 minutes to put it together on its own. If you need it to be stronger it is very easy to reinforce with posts. Overall I am very very happy with the purchase. If you do end up reinforcing with posts, I suggest you attached the bottom horizontal beam, then put in the stakes, then add the top horizontal, and then insert the pickets. The instructions say to assemble the fence and then hammer into the ground, but given its flexibility it is very hard to install it squarely if you do it that way.
