I read all the reviews and had mixed feelings on this item. I purchased this and I am so happy I did!! It was easy to assemble. I did purchase the Zinus brackets to go with this. Yes the bolts are long but face them toward the underneath of the bed. Easy to assemble and fits perfectly on my Zinus smart frame!! So glad I made this purchase!! The headboard looks great, was priced great, is very sturdy, and was easy to assemble, BUT, the included bolts to attach the headboard to your bed frame are WAY to long. I have a popular Zinus metal bed frame, and while the slots lined up nicely, the bolts were absurdly long and they interfered with the both the boxsprings and bed frame. Luckily I'm handy and used my rotary tool with a metal cutting wheel to quickly cut the bolts down to a usable size... many other (less handy) people would be very, very upset at this predicament. I understand why Zinus includes long bolts, but they really should include a set of much shorter ones also (that fit their own bed frames, kind of a no-brainer). ... show more

We loved our platform and mattress but with hard wood floors we found that leaning our pillows up against the wall would push us away from it thru the night. Easy installation and a quick fix to our problem!

I have the basic Smartbase from Zinus so I bought the $10 adapter kit for this. I was able to assemble everything and attach it by myself and it looks great! Better quality than I was expecting for the price.

    • Quality control.. Check the product first... Before it goes in the box huh...
I guess I'm the latest so called customer or just ticked person to receive a damaged Zinus product. But answer me this, how is a product is damaged in the box but the shipping box itself... is next to pristine. No holes, rips or tears.. But because I'm handy... I made it work. Lack of qualify control isn't the best way to retain customers... So this will be the last Zinus product of any type... for me.... ... show more

I love how comfortable the padded area is. It was for a 200+lb guy who always leans on it and it hasn't so far lost its form/resistance in 6months that hes had it. Only thing I wish it had a larger area on the legs to mount. For tall mattresses and if on top of that you have it on a box spring its just a bit short so the mattress reaches and covers part of the heeadboard so it defeats the purpose of supporting the head if your back is against it but its not terrible to deal with. ... show more
