The headboard looks great, was priced great, is very sturdy, and was easy to assemble, BUT, the included bolts to attach the headboard to your bed frame are WAY to long. I have a popular Zinus metal bed frame, and while the slots lined up nicely, the bolts were absurdly long and they interfered with the both the boxsprings and bed frame. Luckily I'm handy and used my rotary tool with a metal cutting wheel to quickly cut the bolts down to a usable size... many other (less handy) people would be very, very upset at this predicament. I understand why Zinus includes long bolts, but they really should include a set of much shorter ones also (that fit their own bed frames, kind of a no-brainer). ... show more

I read all the reviews and had mixed feelings on this item. I purchased this and I am so happy I did!! It was easy to assemble. I did purchase the Zinus brackets to go with this. Yes the bolts are long but face them toward the underneath of the bed. Easy to assemble and fits perfectly on my Zinus smart frame!! So glad I made this purchase!! I have the basic Smartbase from Zinus so I bought the $10 adapter kit for this. I was able to assemble everything and attach it by myself and it looks great! Better quality than I was expecting for the price.

    • Great, but a little loose
Installs easy, goes on easy for Zinus beds. However, it's a bit more flimsy than I'd like. I can wiggle the headboard back and forth even with the nails fully tightened. Aside from that, it's a great, inexpensive headboard. Definitely helps the look of the bed
