Bought this to route my reverse camera wire in for my truck. Since the reverse wire had the RCA connector on it already and I had to go through the firewall of the truck, I was forced to feed the wire into the loom using the slit in the side of it. That was a pain. It took about an hour to insert 12 feet of wire. Fingers hurt after but got it done and it's protecting the wire well. So if you could insert the wire into the loom from the end and run it thru, I am sure this would be great and easy to install. So be warned that loom is a pain to insert wire manually from the slit. ... show more

Unfortunately I bought the skinniest size so it only covers one iPhone charger sized cord or a small electric cord. If you want it to cover more than one cord in the tube get a larger size than the 1/4 inch. Most looms are hard to keep closed. You have to tape them shut. Not this stuff. It's hard to get the wire in but it stays In. In time I will find out if it stands up to the working environment.

I bought this to keep my cats from chewing on computer cables, and it works fine for that. However, be aware that the split in the tube is very hard to keep open to install even the smallest of cables. I had to use a butter knife to pry the split open as I rad the cables into the tube.
