Last weekend it was so hot so I unboxed this inflatable tanning bed—and it honestly turned into the MVP of the day. You can fill the middle with water, it becomes your own tiny cooling pool. I stretched out, let the shallow water sit under me, and suddenly I wasn’t overheating anymore. Later, I moved it into the actual pool and used it dry as a lounger. It floats perfectly, so it’s like getting two products in one. The comfort surprised me most. The ribbed base keeps you from sliding around, and the removable headrest actually supports your neck instead of pushing your chin to your chest like most inflatables do. I laid there reading for over an hour without that usual stiff-back regret. It has a built cup holder and ice bucket which comes in handy, specially in the summer. I parked an iced lemonade next to me, tossed a few extra drinks in the ice compartment, and didn’t have to get up once. One of the best parts is hooking up a garden hose which sprays a light mist over you. I turned it on during peak heat and felt like I was at a low-budget resort in the best way. It’s big and roomy. I’m tall, and I didn’t feel cramped at all. The material feels thick and sturdy, not like those flimsy floats that deflate mid-sunbathe. Inflation was quick, and it hasn’t leaked a drop.

Living in PA, I’m basically counting down the seconds until it’s actually warm enough to use this, but I am already obsessed! It’s the perfect 2-in-1 setup where I can bake in the sun or just float around the pool like a total potato when the humidity hits. The design is super cute and it feels way more durable than those cheap gas station rafts that pop if you look at them wrong. Pros: The material is surprisingly thick and feels like it can actually handle a full summer of me lounging on it without constant patching. Being able to use it as a tanning bed on the deck or a float in the water makes it a total game changer for my backyard. Cons: Blowing this thing up is a serious workout for your lungs, so definitely save yourself the headache and use a pump. Also, once it’s full of water for tanning, it’s a bit of a heavy mess to move around if you change your mind about where you want to sit.

I’m giving this product 5 stars due to value. Competitively priced loungers are more expensive - but several offer a higher level of quality. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: When you first get it out of the box, you’ll notice it’s a bigger than a normal pool raft. The plastic/vinyl is “OK” I’d call it passable thickness and I think it’ll last as long as you don’t drag it around and snag it or leave it out in the sun too long. SETUP: You’re going to want an electric pump because inflating it by hand would take awhile. Fortunately, I had a portable paddle board pump. Once it's aired up, the pillow is nice and firm, and there’s plenty of room to stretch out without feeling cramped. COOLING FEATURES: my families favorite part is definitely the built-in sprinkler. You hook your garden hose to it and it mists. If you’re using it in the yard, you can fill the bottom with a few inches of water like a personal pool for supervised kids. It’s got a spot for your drink and even a little area to keep some ice or snacks close by. Just remember that if you’re in the big pool, you’re stuck as far as your hose can reach if you want that sprayer running. DURABILITY: This float is built to hold up to 300 pounds, but YMMV. I can confirm it doesn't dip way down in the water when you get in, and the sides stay nice and stiff. The plastic is thick enough that you don't have to worry too much about every little bump, but you still want to watch out for sharp sticks if you’re using it on the grass. It’s a solid choice if you want something that’ll last more than just one weekend at the lake.
