  • Decent deal because of the refills
Seems OK once I chopped off the dumb lanyard hole. Would be nice if it had more refill options, like a medium point. I like the bigger size, it's easy to hold. My space pen is still #1 though.

  • One of my favorite pens.
Bought this cause I enjoy a larger ink pen to use especially writing a lot in the medical field. It’s super smooth, comfortable to hold and very durable. The extra ink refill it comes with is also a plus. Definitely my new daily pen. Looks great too.

  • Interesting New Design
Being a long time user of Zebra pens. (I started using them in 1992.) This new design I have some questions. The refills are supposed pressurized so they can write in any position. They really don't look that robust to be pressurized. The typical refill looks more robust than the ones included with this pen. The claim for the temperatures usage are pretty bold. I am sure the pen casing will hold up but not the ink inside of it. It is thicker than the old F-301, but you can get used to it. I recommend the purchase none the less. ... show more

  • Give it a chance!
When I first opened this up, it felt very cheap. It was light weight and I could swear it was mostly plastic. After using for a while, I recognize the build quality. The lightness makes it more resilient to drops. and the metal must be aluminum. Yes, the black pain flakes of the metal clip after a while - no biggie. The pressurization is a function of pen itself and not the refill. I'm using a cut down Pilot Dr. Grip Ballpoint Ink Refill in mine and it works great upside down. I'm liking this pen now and is my daily driver. ... show more

  • You can see in my photo that something is missing, but it's still worthy of 4 solid stars!!
Pros: 1. Longest I've ever hung onto the same pen with daily use 2. Durable 3. Ink lasts a really long time 4. Writes in fairly tough conditions 5. It's a click pen!!! 6. Can attach to a lanyard so you always have it readily available! Cons: 1. Today, the tip of the pen is just ... Gone? It was on there yesterday. 2. No soft grip. Metal isn't as comfortable as other pens 3. Ink becomes a little lighter in below freezing conditions outdoors, but still more legible then other pens in extreme cold. Summary: I got tired of losing my good click pens at work, so I decided to spring for a pen that I could attach to my lanyard. Attaching it has provided two benefits - first, I still have the same pen, which is a miracle since I ordered it October 1st!! Second, it is very handy on my lanyard. I can write what I need for work in many situations without even detaching it, and even after six months of use, I still haven't needed to use one of the included refills yet. The reason it only gets four stars is because somehow between yesterday and this morning, the metal tip fell out and is now missing. It didn't seem loose at all yesterday when I used it. The other thing is that it's not super comfortable to write with. The grip area could use a softer material, even if just a hard plastic, to increase writing comfort. Still, even with those nitpicks it's a solid pen, and I definitely recommend it to people tired of losing their pens at work all the time. Well worth the price!! ... show more

  • Zebra changed the finish on the pen
Purchased one of these a couple of years back (the pen on the right) and one very recently which is the pen on the left. It's very hard to take a good picture that captures the "paint finish" but I think you just tell that the new one I received (left pen) has a cheap matte finish. And yes this can scratch very easily. The older pen I ordered wasn't like this. It's now a pen that is not worth paying more than 5 dollars now. Looks and feels very cheap but thankfully it still writes the same. ... show more

  • Liked it so much i got 2
I don't know what kind of things some of these people are doing to their pens to do the damage they are, I do construction inspections and I keep one of these with each of my log books. They work great! I can use them in winder and summer reliable (although winter is a little harder on them, but still work fine). Ink dries fast, doesn't smudge, and with my sloppy chicken scratch they get nearly every mark and move. About the only thing I have to go over is "..." when i'm putting dots in for doodles/diagrams/etc. Sometimes i go over values to bolden them, but otherwise always writes fine. Clicker never fails, dust dirt, rain, snow, keeps on clicking. I also like the lanyard loop so i can hang it with an ID badge or something. Yes the pain chips, and if you're rough with the clip it will bend (but try and show me a clip that wont). The paint chipping isn't bad, kinda gives it character, shows how much you use it. Looks like some people here toss theirs in the back of a truck and find it a month later and wonder WTF happened to it. I have fat fingers so the size of this pen is really comfortable to write a long time and a lot with. ... show more
