This mirror is classy and functional for a makeup table! It is not battery operated. The input is 100-240 voltage with a US plug. If using outside the US, all that is needed is a plug adapter (see photo). No voltage converter needed! I used a US two prong plug to German two prong plug adapter and plugged it in the 220 volt wall outlet. I really like that the mirror arm tilts up/down/forward/backwards and the actual mirror swivels 360 degrees. This standing mirror has the quality of Zadro products which I love! The 10x mirror is helpful with plucking eyebrows and the regular mirror is great for makeup application. The three light options are nice, but I really just use the natural light option. I would not use this mirror traveling as it would be cumbersome. This is a great mirror for at home! ... show more

I bought one for my sister she LOVES it. When I visited her I used it and immediately bought one for myself. It's a bit heavy to travel with but that would depend on circumstances (ie if I were attending a big event I would definitely bring it). While the directions are a little hard to follow, it's not too hard to figure out the operation. We have only had the mirror for a short time but it working great. Like the style and the features. Easy to get into a comfortable position.

    • NO LONGEVITY!! TOO EXPENSIVE TO ONLY BE GOOD FOR 1 year!
This makeup mirror has several good features. Easily adjustable to a comfortable height and angle. Bright light with adequate mirror space for makeup application. The mirrors seem to be of good quality and are fairly easy to switch from 1X to 10X. Did not really use the 3 variable light settings so mine was almost always set on daylight. The smart dimmer was OK but I found it more of an annoyance for the light to dim when I accidentally touched it. HOWEVER- Longevity for this mirror is horrible. The light started to flicker at 12 months and it was extremely annoying to use at this point. At 15 months it began to dim on it's own. At 18 months it totally died. The company only provides a 90 day warranty. So I now have a mirror sitting on my vanity with no light and it is useless. I have read other reviews on other Zadro products in my search for a mirrors and this failure has been a constant issue for many of their mirrors. They seem to have switch issues and while I am not an electrician I would guess that a failed switch is what is wrong with mine. Maybe others do not think 150.00 is too much for 12 months of proper use but I do. I have purchased MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE lighted mirrors over the years from Conair and other brands and they lasted for over 5 years. The primary reasons I purchased this mirror was for the adjustability making it much easier to use sitting at my vanity and of course THE LIGHT which now does not work at all. Two thumbs up for great lighting and magnification. Both thumbs down for on/off switch. It only turns on randomly. Eventually you can get it to turn on, but not at your will; be patient. This is my second Zadro lamp. The previous one lasted 18 months before the lights failed, so I’m expecting the same from this one. ... show more

    • A great mirror for the price!
My husband purchased this for me as a Christmas gift and I love it! I thought it was time to move into the 21st century and stop buying old Clairol True to Light Make Up Mirrors on Ebay. I love the touch feature and magnification on this mirror. I am 60 years old, so I need the magnification to make up my eyes. So far the only drawbacks to the mirror are the halo reflections on my eyes from the circle lighting and not enough light to fully see the side of your face when on the magnification side. These are things I can get used to though and I don't think I will be going back to my cumbersome Clairol Mirror, although I still feel that it was the best one made. This mirror is probably as close as you will come to the Simple Human mirror and the price is considerably lower. Hopefully I won't have problems with it as some have had. ... show more

    • Magnification is Horrible.
Magnification is horrible. It only works in specific areas of your face, your jaw and neck not being one of them. Very disappointed in this purchase. My husband tried to return it but they will not allow us to return it.
