  • Zacurate 500C Elite Fingertip Pulse Oximeter Review – Fast & Easy Health Monitoring
Color: Mystic Black - OLED
I really like the Zacurate 500C Elite fingertip pulse oximeter. It is easy to use and gives quick readings for oxygen level and pulse rate within seconds. The display is clear and bright, so it is easy to read even in low light. The device feels lightweight but still solid and well-made. It also comes with useful features like a rotating screen and alarm, which makes it more convenient for different users. It is helpful for checking health at home, especially for sports or general monitoring. However, like most fingertip oximeters, the accuracy can be affected if your hand is cold or if you move while measuring. So it works best when you stay still and follow instructions. Overall, it is a reliable and easy-to-use device for quick health checks at home. ... show more

  • Fast, accurate, and incredibly easy to use!
Color: Mystic Black - OLED
This pulse oximeter is fantastic. It is lightweight, highly portable, and gives quick, reliable readings every time. The included carrying case is a nice bonus, and the battery life has been great so far. Clear instructions make it simple for anyone to use right out of the box.

  • Very accurate oximeter, readings slow after 3 months
Color: Mystic Black - OLED
I am so amazed with the accuracy of this oximeter I wanted to share my findings. I currently happen to be completing a nocturnal sleep study to test for sleep apnea so I have a professional quality oximeter. That allowed me the opportunity to compare the readings. This Zacurate 500C Elite oximeter consistently gave the EXACT SAME READINGS AS THE PROFESSIONAL QUALITY OXIMETER! The accuracy was spot on for both the pulse and the oxygen saturation readings. I read reviews before my purchase and this meter was listed as acceptable but when I looked at the prices for oximeters that had higher recommendations I found most were $100 and up. That was out of my budget so I thought I was settling for lower quality but that is not true at all. Why pay more when this meter has proven its accuracy? I’m so happy that I made the decision to purchase this quality oximeter and save money. This is actually my second purchase of this same oximeter. I bought a second meter before I had the opportunity to compare the accuracy. I bought the same replacement based solely on the other features that I liked so well. I lost my first meter because I took it with me everywhere and I left it somewhere. The compact size makes it easy to throw in my bag and go. The display comes on instantly and quickly gives the reading without having to wait as I’ve seen with other meters. It turns off automatically shortly after you remove your finger so you don’t have to worry about wasting battery life if you didn’t turn it off. The numbers are large, bright and easy to read. The lanyard has a special feature of a locking clip. That allows the lanyard to be easily detached from the meter without having to rethread the lanyard cord through the small attachment hole on the oximeter each time you want to detach it. Save your money. This is the most accurate home oximeter you will find with many great features. Edit- I’ve had my meter for 3 months now. In my initial review above I was impressed with how fast the reading came up on the meter screen. Now after a few months I find I have to wait 15-30 seconds. That may not seem like a long time but when I feel short of breath it seems like eternity. It isn’t giving the instant reading anymore that I was initially impressed with. ... show more

  • Works well and does the job and is worth the price.
Color: Mystic Black - OLED
I am supposed to keep an eye on oxygen levels due to medical issues, and this is the perfect little tool to do the job. It works just fine no issues so far. I know it works because I have placed it on my finger and tested it against activities to see when the oxygen drops occurred and when the heart rate increased. So, I know it is functioning as it should. It is easy to use and kudos for an easy instruction pamphlet it took out the guess work. I especially like the little lanyard so I can keep it on my person as I go about my day. ... show more

  • Quality little 'upgraded' device!
Color: Mystic Black - OLED
I've been looking for a device to monitor my pulse, and settled on the Zacurate fingertip pulse oximeters. Actually, I recently bought the Zacurate 500BL for just 10 bucks and was so impressed with the quality of it that I upgraded to the 500C, and will keep the 500BL at work. Both devices provide a quick, easy to read measurement of your blood oxygen saturation level as well as your pulse. Both devices work on AAA batteries (which are supplied). This 500C model is a step up because the display can be rotated in a few directions. Handy if you're self checking or using the device to check another person. The display on the 500C is also a bit fancier - it's two color and can display a waveform graph of your pulse strength (the 500BL also displays pulse strength with a simple bar graph). The main reason I upgraded to the 500C is that the device can be set up to make an audible beep sound of your pulse. Unlike the 500BL, the 500C also has an auto off feature. Once you remove your finger from the chamber, it powers down after a few seconds (you have to manually turn off the 500BL). From the packaging and documentation of the Zacurate monitors I own, one gets the sense that this is a company that cares about the products it produces. Recommended! :) ... show more

  • Defo prefer spending extra for the OLED version, for 2 features
Color: Mystic Black - OLED
The pricier OLED version (tho by not as much as you think) has two features that makes this purchase worth it to me: the perfusion index and plethysmograph. If you have your fingertip misaligned with the LEDs, or have cold fingertips from recently coming in from the cold, or compressed arm / hand arteries for any number of reasons... the SpO₂ reading won't be as accurate. Making sure your PI is as high as possible using the plethysmograph and index reading, increases SpO₂ accuracy. For medical professionals whose environment and patient postures can be controlled more closely w/ training, the cheaper version on a lanyard will defo be the buy to get for a nurse. But for layman-self here, reading on myself in a tropical climate... the OLED version tells me when my watch or clothing or posture's getting in the way of accuracy -- worth it. Recently diagnosed with a condition affecting SpO₂. This allows me to have empirical data to take to the doc's office, in their own vernacular -- a plus since many skilled professionals but *especially* medical pros have to dumb-down their explanations so often to the civilian, human nature dictates they'll triage you rather than expend this extra energy. Skipping this step by giving them data points they use amongst themselves away from the patient (as well as you understanding what they mean) keeps the relationship more honest and less taxing for an overloaded, under-funded front end of an ER. Pros (OLED version): - perfusion index and plethysmograph indispensible for the non-medical-professional - great legibility, esp settings where you can adjust display mode and brightness (not possible on the cheaper version) - comes w/ silicone case (sorry for the people who're hung up over how they look; just fine to me and already protected my oximeter in a drop, sooo 🤷) - comes w/ batteries - comes w/ a lanyard which is clip-removable, a useful touch (esp for a med pro) - exactly the same size as the non-OLED version Cons (OLED version): - 57% more expensive than non-OLED version (however, if you take into account reading errors from lack of the two above features, plus 57% more as of April 2025 means just $13... you can see where I don't consider it a con) - possibly not as durable if screen takes impact -- a segmented digital readout is just simpler and more durable Five stars, as have already used (and dropped) this oximeter a week now, no problems. Would buy again / recommend OLED version ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ... show more
