Why we love it: Awesome Visual Guides: Having the hands and feet outlined on the cartwheel side is incredibly helpful. Soo I bought this for my daughter. She uses it to this day. You cannot see the floor in her room because of all the toys, but her mat is clear. She practice s on it constantly.     • HOURS OF USE ALREADY BY MY KIDS---THEY LOVE THIS MAT----WOULD BUY AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT
Wish it was a little thicker but we LOVE this--it was worth the money. The guiding hands/feet helped my 6 year old get the concept of a cartwheel better---the flip side mimics a balance beam and basically serves as a visual reminder to try to stay along the line for my older daughter who can do cartwheels with a roundoff and little jump at the end {I forget what she calls it} anyways, my kids have used this for HOURS to practice for their Acrobatics class. If you need serious hard-core for a gymnastics enthusiasts, then perhaps might want to get one that is wider and thicker. Other posters mention a smell--and a sticky residue? There was a slight smell of factory-plastic smell but it wasn't horrible and dissipated within a day---I just put it outside for a bit and aired it out--There was no stickiness to it and overall I would buy this mat again and I do recommend it to other moms who's children want to practice on a softer than the floor or ground---but a serious gymnast would need something more heavy duty. this fits nicely under my kids twin bed by the way and does stand horizontally along a wall if you choose to store it that way. ... show more

My five-year old granddaughter who is in gymnastics loves it, especially the foot and hand prints. It serves the purpose for which I ordered it and more. She uses it to "rest" on verses "napping" on it. My only complaint is that the one I received (not necessarily others) has the scent of moth balls. I have scrubbed it down with lots of dishwashing detergent, but I can't get the smell out. I would have sent it back and asked for a replacement, but she loves this one, and she would have had a "fit." ... show more

The pink color is perfect for my daughter and the size is great since we can move it to different rooms easily and store it. It is super easy to fold and my daughter can put it away. My main concern before ordering was that I could not visualize the size. I've attached a photo for comparison. I am 5' 1'". Use this mat for children up to 3/4 of my own height. Any taller, and they will need to position their feet to start off the mat, land hands on mat, and then finish off mat. In that case, the printed feet still help the taller girls position their feet off the mat. Secondary concern was reading another person's review on that it was too squishy it was dangerous to use. I disagree. I use this mat to help teach little ones who are terrified of tumbling, not for regular tumbling use. The extra softness encourages them to actually try because it is softer than the other mats! I would recommend to put this on top of additional mats since the cartwheel mat is so narrow. Tumble straight or die :P Overall, still glad I purchased it! Two girls have gotten their cartwheels because of this mat and several more are very close to overcoming their fear! ... show more

I bought this cartwheel mat for my 10 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. It has given her the confidence needed to learn how to do a proper gymnastics cartwheel. The painted on hand and foot prints offer a great visual that allows the child to see how their body should align. I let my daughter use this on the grass to practice and it wipes clean very easily. It appears to be very well made and durable. The product arrived on time and in the stated new condition. The only thing that I would say is that the hand/foot prints are a bit close together for a child of 10, however we adjusted her beginning stance with the toes on her leading foot touching the end of the mat and it works perfectly. I would buy this mat again in a heartbeat and I will definitely be purchasing from this supplier again. Thank you for making an excellent product! ... show more

    • Granddaughter's 7th birthday !!
Our Granddaughter loves her tumbling mat. She is in gymnastics and loves to do cart wheels. This was the perfect mat for that. She also uses the balance beam in her gymnastics class and this mat lets her safely practice it at home. The mat seems to be well made and thick. Since we just got it about 3 weeks ago we don't know the long term wear yet. She was thrilled to get it. Amazon is a great outlet to order this type of item.
