This is a well-constructed and high quality bar. I was worried to have gotten this model as compared to the Jr. bar for my 8/9YOs (in recreational gymnastics) and I think this is sturdy and solid enough to last many years regardless. It does come in multiple boxes, which we checked on arrival given some other reviews about missing pieces - everything was as promised. Seems like good quality. BUT make sure you have tools and be able to figure out construction yourself. No tools are included and the instructions are terrible...luckily we managed but real instructions and a wrench would help!. (took my husband about thirty minutes) The mat doesn't comfortably fit within the bar base, the bolts will surely shred the mat quickly. The packaging wasn't great and there are small dings and scratches...which don't affect the use but for an expensive item its disappointing. ... show more

My daughter uses it a lot but she is short. She will grow out of this by next year and for $400 we won't be replacing it. If she could get all the way around she may hit the ceiling. She's having fun with it.

It's ok but not very stable for my thin 7yo daughter. I had to engineer my own cross-braces so she could use the bar above the lowest setting without the whole apparatus jumping around.
