I wanted something light and small to add to my DJ rig and this fit the bill. There are a couple sound activated modes that get the job done. I recently used it for a school dance in a gym and I was shocked how well they lit up the entire space. Works, has options, remote is OK but doesn't have the functionality of the on board controls. Lights are somewhat bright and the sound setting works OK (music has to be pretty loud which is probably OK since they are dance/club lights. OK value for your money for a new person instead of buying 4 lights and a stand. ... show more

    • Much SMALLER than anticipated
I will update my review after use at a larger space event than a corner bar. For some lighting for a Karaoke show or a small band set up in a smaller local tavern, these will do the trick. When I first took the unit out of the box, I thought I had bought a kid's toy. Sometimes how professional your setup looks is just as important as how well it performs. The unit is very small and made out of plastic. Then I thought, well, maybe I should plug this in before I judge too harshly because I liked that it was lightweight and came with a carrying case. I took it to a Karaoke show with a good size room. with the lights off, the brightness carried well. With some lighting on, you lose quite a bit. I have ordered some extra lighting to see if I could increase useability in larger venues, adding 2 more lighting units to the top. I plan on trying two of these, one on each side of the DJ booth, with an eight-light DJ light-up booth. That might be the trick to pass as wedding lighting, I am just not sure yet. I feel this would have been a much better value at 169 rather than 269. Seeing as I had to drop way more money into the unit to make it more universal. Well, we will see when those units come in. I bought these lights and during transit, one of the lights from scratch. I called customer service and told them about the problem and they replaced it immediately no questions ask excellent customer service these lights work great

I used the lights for the first time this weekend for a wedding and 2 of the connections to the lights were broken. and I couldn't use them. there is no phone number to call and figure out how to get them replaced.
