I was hesitant to order these for use on a cedar link truss with 1.5” tubes. After verifying the truss diameter with a caliper, I decided to give these a try since there’s only a .07” difference in size. I was able to make them tight on the smaller tube by tightening them all the way down. To avoid scratching the truss, I applied a .03” rubber tape to the inside of the top portion of the clamp. This has worked very well, both in protecting the truss from scratches, as well as making the clamp fit better. ... show more
