Great table for shoulder surgery recovery!
I was nervous to order this because there hadn’t been any reviews yet, but I am so glad I did! I was about to have shoulder surgery and was getting my recovery spot put together with everything I would need in the coming weeks. The hospital table I had originally ordered (and was twice as expensive) didn’t fit the space or the recliner that was to be my convalescent area, and the hydraulic lift didn’t work. I panic ordered this one which arrived the day before my procedure. It takes a bit to put together—not because it’s difficult, but because it has many parts and I made several adjustments for my recliner size. There are actual instructions rather than a confusing pictorial and all parts, including two allen wrenches, were included. You do have to manually adjust the height and angles of the table top, but I found I could do this without too much difficulty after the first 4-5 days post-op. I love that you can set it up for either the right or left side and the tiltable table made it so easy to turn it into a book or tablet rest. If you are in need of a hospital type bed table, this is an excellent option! The only cons I have deal with putting the table together. Though not difficult it did take about 45 minutes for me to complete. Two of the plastic pieces that you screw to the underside of the table weren’t completely drilled through, so I had to take an awl and punch the rest of the way through. Not a big deal, just a little hassle. Also, I wouldn’t put too much faith in the cup holder as it seems like it would break under the weight of my water bottle.

You have to really have the proper chair for this product it’s a great product but I don’t like that your chair’s legs have to be on it and my chair is mechanical and very heavy. Otherwise it’s a great product. Just make sure you have the proper chair to fit it. Thank you

Love the upgraded version — a must-have for couch time!

I bought the original version of this table before and loved it, so I recently got the updated version. I was really happy to see the improvements! The new locking piece is a small but really useful upgrade. The tabletop stays in place much better now. And the best part? I don’t have to share with my husband anymore 😂 This one is officially mine! I especially love the tilting tabletop. I can lean back on the couch and comfortably use my laptop or iPad without having to sit straight up. It’s honestly perfect for lazy couch days. It’s also super easy to store. I just rotate it to the side when I’m not using it, and it takes up almost no space. As for stability, make sure you position the base properly underneath your furniture like the instructions show. Once installed correctly, mine feels very solid. Assembly took a little time, but the video and instructions made it pretty straightforward. I actually felt accomplished when I finished it! Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase. I use it all the time and would definitely recommend it. Hope they come out with more products like this!

I was a little worried after reading about the stability of the table in some of the reviews so bought one to test then bought 2 more. It is designed so that the adjustable "feet" rest under the chair of sofa. The chair legs/sofa feet must hold it down. It works great. I have one under a sofa and 2 under recliners with those round swivel bases. It is holding my 15 inch laptop as we speak with room to spare. Plenty of room for a snack/meal also. The assembly was a little difficult. Took me about an hour and I ended up with a long, leftover screw so had to go back and put this in the base so keep an eye out for this step. Also, think about which side of the chair it will be as you need to have the feet face the chair.

Dont buy not worth the hassle
I reasearched for quite some time to find something that would fit over my lift chair that would make it to where i could do more things while recovering from back surgery. I went with this table we followed all the instructions when putting it together an we were sadly disappointed not only was it much smaller than advertised when it came to the table. It leaned quite badly even when there wasn't anything on the table, the quality and structural design of this table is seriously lacking and it needs something to on the backside to keep it from leaning inward towards the chair to offset the weight. It is not functional in the sense of what it is advertised to be functional for as the overall surface area is way too small to do much of anything on you might be able to use a small tablet on it but even then you would have to sit at an uncomfortable angle and cramp yourself to one side of the chair because this thing will not go that far across.

Doesn't work with big electric rocking lazy boy chairs

I don't recommend this if you have a Hugh electric lazy boy chair. If the legs under it from front leg to back leg is 19 inches or more apart, don't buy this!!! It won't work. The legs need to be i would about 17 or below a part for this to work perfectly.

Does not fit my recliner well, causing backache from having to lean to one side too much.

This took some work to get it to stay in place. The ring on top is too hard to latch, so the arm keeps sliding down. I am afraid to leave my laptop on top of this. It is not wide enough for my recliner. Cup holder is very flimsy. Not worth the price at all. Assembly was easy, but just not working that well for what I paid for it. If you have anything larger than a medium chair, I would not purchase this item.

Love this product so far used it for schooling and work studies. Very durable and structured well. Easy to store away only thing is the legs will still be under the chair but the table does lift up and down as well as folds for a wall. You can also adjust the height of the table with a lever on the side and the table does swing back and forth.
