I'll be honest, I usually just get my small boards at the Dollar Tree. Not the best quality, but you get enough paint on them and you can actually hide that. People don't notice a low quality canvas if the picture that's on it is pretty. So I did the math, 16 boards at Dollar Tree price vs this box of boards. I realized: 1, I don't have to aggravate a back injury going to a physical location because these will be here in 2 days. 2, HOPING they have as many as I needed. 3: Paying tax on individual packets of 2 because you can't get them all in one. 4, having a perfect sized box to slip 16 paintings back into for travel instead of worrying if they're going to dimple the 8x10's getting them where they need to be. So I got these and they worked great. They are a lot nicer quality than the DT ones and they don't suck up so much paint. I do landscapes and occasionally whimsical Sasquatch's for a local festival. You don't want the surface to be perfectly smooth for details with a palate knife for a landscape, but you also need a smooth surface to draw and trace a humanoid well enough people can tell it's a humanoid. So I got the best of both worlds with these little boards. I will be ordering again!

We had a great time painting on this canvas. The acrylic paint holds on to it really well and blends well too. Works well with masking tapes on them (and acrylic paint). The only minor issue was that the canvas surface is not super smooth and it was a bit difficult to sketch curved lines on it with a pencil. Otherwise great canvas.
