  • Great topic but don’t follow this one costly piece of advice
This is a great topic that lays out the groundwork for starting a Youtube channel centered around growing your real estate business. In the technology age we are in, this is practically a requirement in this era. I’ve also taken Karen’s online course and have been implementing what she teaches into my own Youtube channel. However, early on, I followed a piece of advice she shared in her book and course that I consider very poor advice. She mentions that while making videos, make sure to avoid asking for business and don’t make your call to action overtly about you saying who you are and that you want people to call you to help them buy or sell a home. Instead, let your content do the talking and as people subscribe to your channel and continue watching your videos, they will naturally reach out to you. DO NOT follow this! You DO want to ask for business and let people know what you do! Based on my comments, subscribers, and inquiries I was receiving, several people just thought I was a normal resident who loved my city and that I just love talking about my city. Since taking her course, I have taken two other Youtube courses, read another book on the topic, and follow several bigger, more successful YT channels than my own, and they ALL recommend to ask for business. Make sure to do this so you don’t waste your time and efforts in creating content and use your call to action as a leverage to grow your business faster. ... show more

  • Good starter book - got me motivated to try!
Not enough technical jargon, but that's why I have 3 kids who will think it's awesome to help their old dad try making videos to promote his business. We'll see how that goes, but this book certainly didn't discourage me from trying and helped me understand that perfect is not a requirement.

  • When you don't know something, you need a guide. Karin is that guide.
Getting leads and converting them into clients, is the lifeblood for any Realtor to survive in this business. You need a guide to show you a PROVEN way to do just that, and Karin is that guide. With her new book and her online course, she blazes an easy to follow trail for success as a Realtor. She has shown that YouTube can be a source of free advertising for your business, that just works 24/7 and 365 days a year. The videos that you create will become evergreen content that will bring you clients for years to come, if you will just put in the required effort. If I may borrow a phrase from the movie The Chronicles of Riddick in real estate, "You keep what you kill". Karin's book shows you how to kill it with inbound lead generation. Done right, you can say goodbye to cold calling and door knocking. Who wouldn't want that? Here is another point to keep in mind when you are deciding if this is right for you. As Realtors, we all know that as soon as you stop lead generating you business begins to die. You can batch your videos ahead of time, and release them even while you take that much needed vacation. So, your lead generating activity never needs to suffer and you don't have to feel guilty spending time with your family. In closing, I would like to leave you with one last thought. There is a parable in the Bible about giving a man a fish and he will eat for a day versus teaching a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.   • So good I don’t want to write this review….
I really don’t want other agents to find this and create more YouTube competition, but I also think this is a fantastic book and more agents should read it. I love how tactical it is and how action based. Her mindset chapter is on point, and after reading this and doing the exercises I feel so much more confident in getting started on my YouTube journey. I think this is the first review I’ve written on Amazon, but I think Karin deserves it. Others have mentioned some limitations of the book - software changing which is always a risk - and lack of examples which I agree would be nice to see more. But all in all she explains the concepts very clearly. I just hope she’s right that I never have to cold call again. 🤞🏻 ... show more

She hits it all on the head. It's clear and easy to follow and motivating she is easy to understand. Real Estate is simple but not easy and she really lays it out.

  • Completely eye opening for REALTORS! Karin Carr rocks!!
I'm in the beginning stages of put into practice Karin Carr's superb, clearly and practical advise for building a YouTube channel for lead generation. The book is a great starting place into her wealth of resources, which include a Facebook group and five day challenge video course. SO MUCH great advice on her agent oriented YouTube channel (the distinction is important - she of course has her own consumer channel for Savannah, Georgia PLUS another entire channel titled YouTube For Agents that is chock full of extremely useful materials on every topic that you could image related to YouTube (primarly) and agent success. Karin is smart, funny, knowledgeable and general awesome. I highly recommend both her and her book -- Karin simply rocks! Finally, I was recently struck that Karin personifies Teddy Roosevelts' famous quote - "People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." It's really obvious to me that she cares a great deal. ... show more
