A steadfast guide showing the reader that anything is possible if one just efficiently works toward a goal. Nowadays, minimum wage oftentimes is not enough to support one's self, let alone a family if that is the case. One gets to a point where creating a business feels like a far-away dream rather than a substantial possibility as the bills pile up and the cost of living rises with each passing year. However, Maria Carmen presents a very compelling and organized business plan. She gave her idea of having her own business a solid foundation, and ended up living comfortably, employing 22 people into her company, all after a few years of hard work and utmost perseverance. What I really enjoyed about this book is the fact that it’s not only very professional and insightful in its approach, but also quite easy to understand and written in a way that keeps everything from feeling like a chore to read. As well as this, I also feel that the author has a genuine passion for helping reader as opposed to just trying to make a quick buck, because it’s evident even within the first few chapters that the author has really compiled some extensive research in this to help support her own included person experience – it’s not rehashed and recycled info that can be found easily anywhere online, and I find that very refreshing when it comes to these kind of business-related books in this genre. In summary, I am very happy with the read and I will definitely be incorporating what I have learned into my own current business plans in the near future. I highly recommend it. ... show more
