I have always used Seaguar Fluorocarbon because it’s super strong and really great but very expensive so I decided to find something cheaper that is close to as good … Well this YoZuri Top Knot is as good if not better and it’s about 10/15.00 less per 200 yds . It’s thinner than Seaguar and every bit as strong and abrasion resistant.. give it a try it’s good line or leader which is what I use it for .. why spend more for so called special leader and get less for your money , buy the 200 yd spool it’s the same line in a different package .. I’d Much rather have 200 yds than 30 yds for the same price .. ... show more

I started using 10 lb. Yo-Zuri Topknot as a leader when fishing in fresh water. After it broke a few times after little use with fish well under the rated strength I changed to a more expensive fluorocarbon with much better results. The knots with Yo-Zuri did hold very well.

I have been using Yo-Zuri fluorcarbon for many years with excellent results, but clearly something changed as you can see on the pictures; the left are the just acquired, on the right an old one that was ending so l bought on Amazon a new 20lb. Even at the end you can see the old one was perfectly rolled and new one looked like it was re-spooled; label is slightly different but what worries me is the different color, the new one seemed yellow-ish. I have other old rolls and they are perfectly clear so it is not because it is at the end. I wonder if these are fake. I don’t have how to technically test the lines. I wonder if anybody from Yo-Zuri can explain if these are fake or they actually changed and why. ... show more
