I will be starting fertility treatment in the next couple of weeks and my partner and I just wanted to make sure everything was OK with him. This test gave us hope and the direction we need to take in our path to parenthood. Now to the actual review, this product was easy to use and easy to understand, the instructions are clear and if you follow them properly you will get an accurate result. I would also like to mention that my boyfriend really enjoyed and appreciated that during the waiting time for the test results in the app you received useful tips and interesting information regarding his sperm count and quality. I didn’t see it anywhere in the instructions but put your phone in airplane mode to avoid getting prompted to use cellular data or keep connected to WiFi. Not sure if it affects the testing or not. I did keep getting an error around the 3 minute mark, which I initially thought was due to not being in airplane mode, but it might have been because the slide wasn’t inserted all the way. There is quite a bit of resistance the first time putting the slide in so I didn’t want to force it. I took the slide out and reinserted it. The second time it went in more smoothly and I was able to get results. Another annoying thing is that if you leave the app (like clicking the button to report a problem), and then go back to the app, you have to wait the full 10 minutes again. When hooked up and done correctly you can actually see a recordes view of your sperm moving. At first I thought it might be pre-recorded from some stock video that the company had but I used the same slide to do four runs on thevsane slide. Yeah its real! The focus sucks tho. Unlike a real microscope where you can adjust the lens to see differwnt depths here you can only see a specific depth demention?? (Does that make sense). Doctor's office is charging $300 for this same task for quantity and mobility. ... show more

Test results were consistent with real lab test. Obviously the price is way better for the multiple-test kit than for a single lab test, even if you think the small consumable supplies are overpriced. Video output is reassuring since you can see em swimming. Very touchy wifi connection. Did not work at all with PC app, and had to try with 2 different phones before it completed the test successfully. It will run through the whole long test sequence before it shows an error, even if wireless connection to the test device was long broken. The app then forces you to again wait the initial 10 mins with no option to skip. If you are unable to get a successful test after several tries, this means your sample can expire and you will have wasted one of the limited uses of the kit. Surely this can be remedied by a software update to vastly improve the usability. ... show more

Me and my husband have been trying for months and wanted to test his sperm count with out having to go through all the steps to get it done at the hospital, this was perfect. It was a little tricky to use but overall was great and put our minds at ease while trying to find out why we haven't been able to conceive yet. 10/10 would recommend if your are stressing about sperm count and don't want to spend a ton of money and time going to the doctor. We've been experiencing some delays in conceiving, and wanted to begin the process of investigating different factors, without going to the emotional and financial stress of hardcore fertility testing. We've had one very healthy child with an uneventful pregnancy, but waited several years to try again because of various unforeseen life circumstances, and then got pregnant last year without trying, but had to end the pregnancy after discovering in the 2nd trimester he was no longer viable. We tried again but it took 6 months to conceive. Sadly that one ended in a chemical pregnancy very early on, and it's been another 6 months of carefully planning with ovulation strips and BBT testing galore, with no positive pregnancy. My husband is a decade older than me so our doctor suggested we test his sperm because issues with sperm are easier to check for than issues with a woman's fertility. She said we could even look at some home tests just to get us started. After researching quite a few options, we decided on this one. It was also FSA-eligble, so we figured we didn't have much to lose even if it turned out not to work well. I recommend both partners read the directions very closely ahead of time. We didn't read that you're supposed to stir the mixture one last time before adding to the test slide, or else it can be too diluted/ settled, and give a false low. Whoops! We knew at that point that if we got a low, we'd try again a few days later. After researching ahead of time, we decided to add the app to a laptop rather than a phone or tablet because many had fewer technical issues that way. We experienced the opposite. Instead of taking a video with the device and measuring that way, it took a video using our laptop camera and did come back low. We quickly ran it again as it was within the recommend time limit before sperm begins to lose some of its oomph, but ran it on my husband's phone this time, and it worked this time and showed us a video of his little swimmers, which was pretty neat. We were able to compare it to other videos of active sperm in terms of measuring and it seemed to coincide with the results of the app. Just to be safe, we tried it again a week later and the results were the exact same, with everything in normal range. While it's not as accurate as getting tested via official labs, this gave us some peace of mind that we at least weren't dealing with low motility/ low sperm count, etc. It does put a bit more pressure on me, but honestly, I think with our losses and general life stress, we've just been in a bad place mentally and I am working on combating that. My doctor and acupuncturist tell me the fact that I fell pregnant twice in the span of about 12 months means I'm probably either just stressing too much, or am dealing with low progesterone, both of which can be combated, so we are working on addressing both (progesterone was within normal range, but measured a bit lower than my doctor would like to see when trying to conceive, so she is having me use a 20mg cream every night on days 18 - 1st day of next cycle to bring up my levels a bit, and I am working on stress relieving strategies and positive thinking with my doctor and acupuncturist, and taking fertility herbs with my acupuncturist). The Android app doesn't work on Samsung Galaxy s23 plus so I used a PC. Email support is responsive. The test result video seems to be sufficient to get a good idea
