When supported by the dorsal attachment during a fall, the design of our Full Body Harness directs load through the shoulder straps supporting the user, and around the thighs. After a fall, our Full Body Harness will support users and post fall at an angle within 30 to vertical.
  • HEAVY DUTY D-RING: One back dorsal ring is all it takes to provide functionality on the construction job. The dorsal ring is used for fall arrest & can be used for travel restraint or rescue. The pass-through buckles on our universal harness are made out of synthetic material that is superior to polyester. Tensile strength (max load) for the snap hook is rated at 5,000 pounds with a gate strength of 3,600 pounds. Meets American National Standards Institute ASTM F1774 standards.

This JONA JO-2 Safety Harness fits my 6-ft 225-lb frame nicely. Plenty of room left in the adjustable straps, to accommodate any bulky clothing worn in the winter months. The JO-2 model comes with only 1 D-Ring, on the back between the shoulder blades. (The 2nd image in this listing, showing the features of the JONA JHQS-002 model, states it has 3 D-rings; which is a bit confusing, since this model, the JO-2, only has 1 D-ring.) The belt strap is not actually attached by stitching to the harness. You can easily feed it through the loops at the hips, where the straps coming down from the back overlap with the straps coming down from the front (see pic). Another plus for this harness is it includes a double-leg 6' energy-absorbing Y-Lanyard connector strap. This Y-Lanyard includes a locking carabiner-style D-ring (see pic) and two big hooks to connect you to your anchorage location. A carry/storage bag is also included, and is big enough to hold both the harness and lanyard. This is one of those things you hope you never get to find out how good it works. Fortunately, I have not fallen, so I have no feedback to share regarding that experience with this harness and lanyard. In my opinion, the quality, comfort, and durable materials this product is made of gives me a secure feeling that I will be well protected if an unfortunate incident does occur. ... show more

Liked that it worked as advertised. Somewhat difficult to get into (probably because I'm 77), but once on gave freedom of movement & was generally comfortable. Great value for money!!!! Used for roof repair. Replaced beams and joists, plywood, tar paper & shingles for a 3'wide strip all along the edge of the roof, two stories up. ... show more

    • Not big enough for a 5’6 275lb guy
I am not gonna use this item. I am 5’6” and I admit am obese at 275 lbs. however even when fully extended this item would barely fit me. I think if I bent over it would come apart. According to the sizing chart I should fit just fine. However it does not fit without stuffing or wearing a man girdle. I think it would be fine if you are skinny or smaller but for us big guys it’s gonna be tough. ... show more
