The good: This coffee table is about what I expected for the price and it matches the description pretty well. It has a melamine surface, which resembles wood grain, but has a bit more brown to the color than the online images indicate. It’s sturdy and the lid pulls upward toward you easily and doesn’t wobble when fully extended. The other table top portion slides easily, although it wobbles a bit, but only while extending or retracting. The legs are rectangular tubular metal and are sufficient enough for the table. The eh: The table has extremely pointy corners and sharp edges and could be a severe hazard for small children or adults who are a fall risk. Or to anyone for that matter if you catch your leg against it. Although it’s finished with melamine (plastic) I was able to ease some of the bite of the corners with a fine grit sandpaper, which eased my mind quite a bit, and didn’t affect the appearance of the table. The bad: The assembly instructions omitted at least two steps and if I didn’t have experience problem-solving these types of assemblies I would have had to call customer service for help. The most problematic omission pertains to installing the sliders. The instructions don’t tell you that the sliders need to be separated into two components in order to be attached to the panel, nor do they explain how to separate them or reconnect them. The diagram in the instructions appears to show a different slider but it’s actually the individual component of one slider after being separated. As an FYI, there’s a small plastic tab on the slider and you have to lift that in order to pull them apart. Works just like many modern drawers, if you’ve ever had to remove one from a dresser or cabinet.

The media could not be loaded. My order came with missing parts and no instruction manual, I tried reaching out to them and the only number they have listed is for a car store which didn't even give me an option to speak to anyone. Instead the automated voice just kept offering me promotion after promotion on road side assistance and health care, and car parts!!!! I personallywouldn'trecommendthis to any of my friends becauseof the lack of help if anythinggose wrong! I was however able to figure it out over the course of a few hours and the end product is not bad.
