I started installing this mirror (emphasis on started) in the bathroom vanity area for my kids’ room as they really enjoy the background light this mirror offers and the lighting internal to the front of the mirror (the white box form light integrated into the front part of the mirror). My original intention was to use this is one of the guest bathrooms as only having one in my Master bath didn’t make sense with 2 vanities and one vanity is rather long, so no one mirror seems to go well beyond the builder mirror. Back to the point, I had the mirror nice and installed in the downstairs guest bathroom when my kids (angels of two little girls at 7 and 9 years old) looked at me with those soft eyes and said how much they loved the mirror and “wished” it was in their room. So, “genie” dad decided to install this one now in the girl’s vanity area and well, before I forgot figured let me offer up my feedback. First, I would say there is a good chance little kids, my girls are my data point, will love it. Translation, parents, try to have an install once only policy as the larger mirror, in my case, 60” X 36” mirror is a touch heavy for a one person install. Do not let this discourage you as it’s lighter than one might think and the tempered glass really does make a difference in durability and confidence if I did drop it, we would have a chance, of what I can’t say but a chance. 😊 The tempered glass is a BIG plus as I’ve found not all vanity mirrors are made the same and many don’t use/have tempered glass. I would say I understand why but really, it’s a non-starter for me with kids unless the mirror is basically mounted with adhesive and in such a way it can almost be removed without extreme effort than I’d be worried someone will get hurt if it breaks, falls, etc.… The lighting is nice, the soft coloring, or bright and almost blue tint light (varies as it explains on the product page from 3000K to 6000K is a nice touch and makes a nice difference in subtle activities like shaving, or more intense things like dealing with perhaps ingrown hairs, or some things like having contact lens issues. I like the light over the typical vanity light that shines downward as this light really gives me a better view of the area/point of focus when using the mirror. The background light is really nice, probably the most visible incentive to use/acquire the mirror. The light offers a nice touch if you want to leave it on in the evenings for anything from an aesthetic touch to a simple kind of nightlight (which I think will be the case for my little ones). I will say the rainbow setting could be a touch much but some of the solid colors I feel really do look good and, in a way, set a nice mood depending on the evening. Even during the day, the background light just feels like it offered a nice touch for the short time I had it installed in the guest bathroom (just across from my office so I did get to use it a bit regardless of how short it lasted before going to the kids.) Mounting from a mounting hardware or ease perspective is rather easy despite the weight of the unit which was the only problem but that goes without saying. The rounded edges of the mirror also help with installation as it gives a softer corner to hold onto when needed vs a sharper corner. Overall, the only drawback I came up with was the running of the power cord to an outlet and the lifted design of the mirror as I wish it was thinner but really both these things were a given and clear on the product page so nothing to really say in a bad way. Given at the price point everything you get with the mirror, design, quality, things like tempered glass, etc., this price is great.

when you have a teenager in the house it is the little things that make them happy like this mirror. For some reason our 13 year old loves the colored lights on the mirror and actually took an interest in what we were doing. ( doesnt happen often as we are adults and just dont know the inter workings of the teenage mind) Installation was easy and the push buttons are conveniently positioned on the front of the mirror. The antifog is really great I just may have to get one of these for myself.
