If you're looking for a stylish, sturdy, and modern upgraded bookshelf, this is it! Originally I ordered this and it was supposed to arrive 5 days after it was ordered - I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived two days later. When it came to putting together this bookshelf, I completed it by myself and it took about an hour (including taking it out of the packaging). The directions that come with it are easy to follow if you are a strictly visual learner. There are no "written" instructions provided, so be prepared to go back and forth constantly between the directions and the bookshelf. It was definitely tedious with getting it put together initially, but once you get past the first two shelves, you are just repeating the same instructions depending on what part of the shelf you are working on. Overall I am very pleased with the look and sturdiness of this bookshelf despite the tediousness of putting it together. I love that it does not take up much space in my home office but offers so much shelf space to store books and other items. I would absolutely order this bookshelf again if it came down to it! This is a great bookcase. Easy to Assemble. Sturdy. Stylish. Looks great in any room. Only beef is with the manufacturer. In my hardware kit, I am supplied a barrel nut that does not go with the unit. Not in the instructions or part list. Since I received this one piece, I did not receive the proper nut. This unit is like anything piece one assemble from IKEA. I screw goes into a hole with the top part being inserted into another hole. The other hole has a barrel nut that the screw lock into. The barrel is turned with a screwdriver to lock the shelf in place. This is the piece I was missing. They provide a phone number for product support. If you purchase from Amazon, they send you over to them. Amazon solution, all you get is a recording, is to return the entire unit. What kind of BS is that? The unit is assembled. ..So, before doing anything, check to make sure you have the complete part list. If not, then you have to find something on your own to fit because product support is non existent. A great unit otherwise. Lesson learned though ... show more

I really like this bookshelf due to easy of assembly, sturdiness, look, and price. Hard to go wrong with it. I also have a ladder-type bookshelf, but this one is more interesting to look at and a lot more solid.

Very happy with the design and sturdiness of the shelf. Assembly was pretty straight forward and instructions weren't too difficult to follow. Probably took about 30 minutes to put together myself and it turned out very nicely. Personally I like the style of the shelf so would recommend.

Honestly, if you’re good with ikea-type directions, you’re going to love it. It has a beautiful finish and fits perfectly with my decor. It took about two hours to fully assemble. It’s very sturdy and fits my wants exceptionally.
