It takes some impressive products to make me brand-loyal to something, and I'm now a life-long Yeti fan. My great-niece was extolling the virtues of her own 30 oz tumbler. Initially, I thought it was very bulky. I've got huge hands for a woman yet I found it awkward (more on that in a sec). I also have arthritis in my fingers and hands, and I've been using a plastic "insulated" water bottle, so the large metal tumbler seemed way too much. Boy, was I wrong! Yes, it's large, but the tapered bottom half makes it easy enough to grip. Plus, I often hold it via the bottom, resting on my palm, so the size issue has resolved. I realized I was too used to the lousy water bottle I'd been using (which didn't insulate at all). Oh yeah, I can rest it on my palm because it does NOT get hot on the outside. I pour my freshly brewed coffee in and it's room temperature on the outside and PIPING HOT when I sip it. On the other extreme, after I'm done with my coffee for the day, I put iced tea into it and the ice lasts for hours (I rinse it first in cold water). The first morning after I got it, I woke up and it still had ice; not just little pieces, but real cubes. It went the entire night sitting on my bedroom table and was still ice cold. Oh, man. No more watery tea I have to refresh every couple of hours. Now, on to the lid and mag slider. The lid is very solid, I think it's acetate. The entire lid can be thoroughly washed (unlike the lid to my previous water bottle, which would get grungey as heck). I wasn't sure why the sliding portion was called "mag" (maybe I didn't research it enough?) till I put my coffee spoon on it, to keep from staining the table. When I picked the lid up, the spoon stuck to it! That's when the "mag" feature hit me, lol. I realized the design helps prevent crud from building up along and inside it. It's not completely leakproof, but very close with cold beverages. I tested it once when I had coffee in it and it leaked more, but I think because of the heat and pressure build-up (that's how well it contains the warm). I now take it along with me everywhere. I don't drive, but I'm happy to know it'll fit in the cup holders of my family's cars. I use a little cart to shop with and it fits perfectly in the side pocket, doesn't leak at all, it's easy to remove while I'm out walking and want to take a sip occasionally. I brought it on the bus recently and again, it was easy to access, have a sip or two, and put it back without disturbing anyone. There, I think I've covered everything. If you're a senior with arthritis in your hand, you may want to consider the smaller mug with the handle (I almost got that one but wanted more ounces). You won't be disappointed! And one final positive: it's TARDIS blue! (my fellow Whovians will appreciate that.) (ADDENDUM: Shortly after I did this review, I started poking around other reviews and saw great concern about authentic vs. knock-off YETIs. Please be sure you purchase from YETI Authorized -- formerly Pronghorn, so you may see references to that name. I'm glad I got it right the first time.)

I use this every day for any cold drink, typically iced tea or soda. It keeps ice from melting and drinks super cold all day long and even overnight. Dishwasher safe, insanely durable, and fits in most cupholders. Only negative is the lid, but I rarely even use it. Super pleased I was able to get the limited color I wanted as well. Just buy it!

This product is worth it's weight in gold. It works as promised and I have no issues with any of it. It keeps my tea actually hot for many, many hours in one day and when I use it for ice drinks it stays cold even longer in my view.

My husband uses this cup daily. It is strong and durable and easy to clean. The only part we didn't like is the plastic mouth piece that can pop off too easy but overall the lid seals nice. Great for the price. No notes on the handle but it performed great.

I was one of those people that felt Yeti was just too overpriced and I had my tumblers that worked "just fine" etc. Then someone gave me an Amazon gift card and I'd recently broken the lid on my daily tumbler so I decided to splurge. I'm a convert. I have a 30 oz and a 20oz. I can fill them up with ice at night and still have a cup mostly full of ice the next morning. They seem to do a little better with cold than heat but my coffee that I forgot about at around 9 was still warm at around 3. I am 5'2 and have small hands so the 30 oz can be a little cumbersome to hold. but it's not Yeti's fault I have small hands. These things are also heavy. To me that's a plus. I like when something is well made and I can "feel" it. But the absolute best part of these things is the magnetic latch on the lid. I dropped my Yeti in the parking lot at work and I looked down and to my horror I saw the little black piece from the lid on the ground beside my cup. I thought it was broken and started trying to remember how the warranty worked. I was getting all crabby because I watched videos of Yeti abuse and I thought it should be tough enough to withstand a parking lot drop. But then I picked it up and realized it was magnetic and just popped back on (yes I should have paid attention and already known this) and I was super happy. Not only does that make it almost impossible to break the latch, but it makes it super easy to clean the lid since you can just pop the latch completely off. Anyone who is a daily user of tumblers knows that cleaning around/under the latch is a pain in the rear. So this tiny little design element is just awesome. No it's not 100% leak proof. But it's not advertised to be. That said, it's like 99.5% leak proof. I put my tumbler in my backpack after I got coffee and then rode my motorcycle to work and somewhere on the ride the tumbler went sideways. There was maybe a drop or two of coffee on the lip of the mug and that's it. None in the backpack. I think how air tight it is depends a little on how you position the magnet. But I put soda on ice in mine one day and when I flipped the lid open, it spewed a bit, so the seal was air tight at that point. I'm a Yeti convert. I'm usually pretty frugal but I recognize the value in something that is durable and high quality. Worth every penny. If this review looks familiar it's because I cut and pasted the same one in both of the tumblers I bought.
