Consumer Report recently review insulated cups and did not like the Yeti Rambler however while correct in all the scientific criteria, such as the Yeti may not be the first at holding the temperature, but I am sorry CR, the ratings misses the big picture with two critical criteria, Overall Usability and Consumer Experience. Here is what I like about the Yeti Rambler and perhaps some reasons it is so vastly popular. 1. The top cover. Easy to drink from, just click back the slider and drink. I do not like a bulky lid to flip back or have to remove in order to drink or in the way (not safe to do while driving) nor do I like to drink from a stray. Yeti Rambler has a straw model if you love straws. 2. No handle, handles do not fit in my car drink holder. The CR report gives a negative for no handle but did not research it enough as the “Rambler is available with a handle” if you want one. 3. Easy to hold without a handle. The body has two definite sizes. The ridge between the two makes it easy to hold so your hand does not slip up or down when you grip it. At first I tried to ignore the trendy Yeti. However they won me over in the end with these key critical reasons and why I choose the Yeti Rambler over other products. I picked these up for the wife and I as we drink coffee every morning. I've been using to-go mugs for 20 plus years, and these things are the best I've used. I've had all other brands, and most are good, and do a good job, but the lids are always the problem. They break, or the seal becomes stained and are very hard to clean. These Yeti lids have the magnet style lock and it comes right off for easy cleaning. The ring seal is a heavy duty black plastic that is very solid, and not flimsy like other cups I've used. After having used them for several weeks, I've threw away all my other old mugs as I'll never use them again. Oh, and not to mention, they're dishwasher safe, AND have a 5 year warranty if something goes wrong. So they're almost double the cost of other travel mugs, but 5 years of warranty compared to 90 days on the others, makes this a definite buy. well, we are already know yeti is such a great brand and it does exactly what it says. Keep this cup has kept my coffee warm for hours on my drive to work and home and later than throughout the day so I recommend the brand and I recommend the quality of it. The price which we all know is always something that’s a little bit high I think for anything but it is a namebrand and it does but it says it does a better than other company so they’re making their money for that shop around on the sizes. This one that I bought I like it. It’s nice size but it is a little bit too big without a handle and then if you wanna put a silicone handle on it, that’s an extra cost so the only reason I’m reading this a little for , compared to a five it’s just the ... show more
