I wanted a travel mug that could go in the dishwasher. A lot of them say "dishwasher safe" but then in the fine print specify that they only mean the lid. I hate that. This is one of the few I've found that is completely 100% dishwasher safe. I'd say the performance is comparable to any other insulated mug. It doesn't keep my coffee hotter longer, but it doesn't cool down faster either. It's fine. I don't use it as often for cold drinks, but that seems to be about average as well. What I unexpectedly loved was the lid. The magnet works well, and the opening is a perfect size (I'm not pouring coffee on myself in the car, and also not burning my mouth trying to sip through a pinhole). I prefer this to the contigo style lid also because you get a bit more aroma and flavor from your coffee with the larger opening. It is *not* completely leak proof, so do not throw it in a backpack or bag, but it doesn't drip or leak with normal use. The outer coating is nice, and hasn't chipped (so far). I've tried a stupid amount of travel mugs, and this one is solid. It's not fancy, but it does everything I need it to without being a pain to take apart and clean. It's convenient and reliable. Only the Yeti is real, and it does an amazing job of keeping things hot or cold. Ice water stays cold for at least 24 hours, often there’s still unmelted ice in the Tumbler. It keeps coffee hot so long I’m often worried, is this still safe to drink 🤣😂🤣. If you want something that looks great, is super high-quality and works incredibly well just buy it. I love that this is dishwasher safe. I also love that it keeps my coffee really hot for quite a while. The magnetic stopper ( not sure what to call it ) is very clever - but it wont keep liquids in if the cup isn't upright. That's a bit of a bummer, but I think all the positives outweigh that and if I really need that kind of setup I'd use a thermos. ... show more

Great tumbler. I only use it for cold drinks and it works great. I don't use the lid and I find that it still keeps the drink cold for a long time. How long I don't know, I'm not they type to let a drink just sit there for hours. Definitely recommend it. It's easy to clean but if you have a big hand you'll have to use a brush. ... show more

Even though my rating is not a 5 star, I really like these thermal cups. As far as being 100% leak proof, it is not. The LID itself is. It is the magnetic latch that will leak some. However, that is not a big issue for me. The magnetic latch (while in a closed position) on the top, will leak some liquid if it is turned sideways (as if it was knocked over). It holds the liquid in reasonably well enough to not cause a mess big enough to be picky about. It is easy to hold with a side surface that is not slippery, but yet is not rough or rubbery. An adult hand can easily grab and hold it. The magnetic latch on the top is designed to slide and ''snap" into a closed or open position and not part-way in between. The latch can be lifted off by just using a fingernail to pry up on the end, so the magnet is not super strong, but strong enough. My concern with any small detachable part is that it can be misplaced or lost easily. Especially while cleaning. If you want to place this in a cup holder (such as in a car), you will probably need about 3.25" to clear it depending on how deep the opening is. It is tapered some so it may fit a shallower, tad smaller size opening. Otherwise, it is a YETI and keeps contents cold or hot and does not seem to get condensation on it. ... show more
