This bag is great though it might be overkill for my use. I bought it as a gym bag to replace a 31L North Face bag. It does great but its a little over sized. For reference it can carry, shoes, shower sandals, a full change of clothes, shower bag, large water bottle, and protein shake bottle without issue. The top zipper can be used as a wet storage area and can fit sandals and a loofah without issue. I use those dehydration pouches to keep everything fresh. The big has rigid sides which prevents it from beign crumpled. It also has the undesired effect of making the make rather wide. My coworkers said it looks like a casserole bag. I bought the Yeti 40l duffel bag to support my 8-day trip to Sydney (from the US). My goals were simple: 1. Hand carry the whole way 2. Contain 4-5 days of clothes, allowing for longer stays with periodic washing 3. Support both hand and shoulder carry I didn’t want to drag a rectangular, wheel-bag around even though they are convenient over short distances. I wanted to be more agile and flexible and cover any distance needed, which suits the duffel style. The Yeti performed great. Different shape to fit into, but it wasn’t difficult to adapt. I also carried a back pack and adjusted the Yeti’s shoulder strap length to ensure the bags had minimal contact. Obviously carrying vs dragging a bag has its own benefits and challenges, and accepting all of these, the Yeti performed like a star. Super strong material, plenty of grab handles, and easy to carry. Great to live out of (which we all do when traveling) with the big lid opening. If you’re into the duffel bag style and want a strong, good-looking product that performs well, I recommend the Yeti. ... show more

    • Some Closure-Straps missing. Great bag but bad packing nearly ruined the shape!

The size for weekend over-head luggage is very good! The squashed-packing took an hour to unbend the bag into its original shape; at least one of the smaller straps to secure the contents of the packed bag was missing!!! Amazing quality. As yeti always is. My husband loved his bag! The color matched description. As some of the other reviews say, the shape is a little odd, but once stuffed full, it fills out and is okay. My husband said he would use this as an overnight or carry on for flights. We got the smaller size so it can be used as a carry on for flights and is lighter to maneuver around. The price point is expensive, but worth it for the quality. ... show more
