These mats are easy to install: they can be cut with scissors or--I found better--a single-edge razor blade (like in a razor-blade scraper tool). They snap together nicely but can't be layered like brickwork, lining up one halfway across the row adjacent. They only fit right squared off, corner to corner. I put this over dimple mat in my sometimes wet basement floor: looks good and is nice and cushiony, and it provides insulation against the cold floor. It is pretty easy to pierce the surface of the map (I used a dab of rubber cement to fix a few flaws), and I wouldn't use these on a high-traffic area, but for the basement it seems good.

I've installed professional grade gym floors. It's not that. But I'd say for the price it's not bad. I'm constantly moving gym equipment around to set up a circuit to train that day. So I've beat it up pretty good in a few months. But I've dropped plates,bars stepped on collars and it really just gets depressions. Doesn't tear. And like the slightly slippery ness of it to kick stuff around between sets. Locks together easy. Pay attention to the pattern you establish. And a razor and straight edge make cuts easy. Size, thickness. Consistency all good. Think for the price it's a good choice. Update: 8 months later I've destroyed this floor. Holes, machine dents, the interlock pieces that hold it together are ripping. I've also noticed that it moves seasonally a lot. I'd say leave a 1/4 " space if against walls etc.

The interlocking foam tiles snap together easily, and once assembled, the surface feels sturdy yet soft underfoot. Each tile measures 24″ × 24″ with a thickness of around 0.43–0.44″, giving just the right amount of cushioning for long gaming sessions or setting up heavier equipment. The faux wood grain finish looks fantastic and gives the room a modern, clean vibe that’s way better than plain black mats. It’s also waterproof and super easy to wipe down if anything spills. Very good tiles. Used to add warmth to mobile home bathroom floor. My feet don't freeze on it anymore & the old floor looks so much better now. Easy to cut with exacto knife & they lock together well. Saw reviews about it being slippery, but with sneakers & barefoot I don't think they are. The only problem is that once you cut a tile, you lose the interlocking area & won't be able to use the extra piece that was cut off. I would buy these again.

Purchased these to go into a mobile home kitchen to cover a really old crappy floor before a birthday party. These were simply perfect for a fast, inexpensive, option. They were super simple to install, but does get a bit tricky if you want to ensure the grain all goes the same direction AND use the edging pieces. Some creative cutting may be necessary. They are wonderful to walk on, provide great protection from human and dinner ware falls. They have been so easy to clean, so far all that has been needed is a gentle wipe down with a rag. I was worried the smooshed blueberries would stain but NOPE! wiped right off. Her cats seem to really love them too. They are often found just lounging on them. Their claws do tend to poke through on occasion though. These are a perfect temporary fix to have until the full remodel can begin.
