I challenge you to find a more feature-filled helmet for the money. I wish you a lot of luck in doing it. So far I have had this helmet on (the matte black variety) for over 2,300 miles of riding, so I have a good idea of how it performs. I will provide both the bad and the good, with the list of bad first because it is extremely short. The Bad: The optics fog up easily. Be prepared to crack the visor slightly at stop lights to allow for a little air to keep it fog-free. Closing the air vents does not completely prevent air from entering the helmet. This can lead to a cold head in the late fall. The chin curtain could be slightly lower to assist on colder days. The Good: The drop-down sun visor. It operates smoothly. It is a perfect tint level so as to not interfere with your vision. It stays put when it needs to. The optics are clear, even though as mentioned in the bad that they fog easily. Surface is easy to clean with a soft microfiber towel. The vents provide plenty of air, and are not overly noisy even 50+ mph. The fit and finish are excellent. Visor closes with a click and opens easily. Surface is smooth has a quality appearance and feel. The inside liner is snug but does not smash your face (as long as you size correctly). The liner snaps in place and is easy to remove and re-insert. It is very comfortable, even on rides exceeding an hour or more. I can't say enough about this helmet. Go search on helmets with this same feature set, especially a sun-visor that either drops down or is integrated into the face shield, and you will see helmets 3-4, and even 5 times more expensive than this one. At 3.7 pounds, even helmets in the $350-400 range aren't any lighter. This is a DOT-rated helmet. Always make sure whatever you buy is DOT approved and has that certification on the inside liner; not just an external sticker. This is a great buy and I will buy again from Yema. Here's hoping they provide more designs and maybe some fog-free upgrades. ... show more

Let's start out with the pros & cons. Pros: Lightweight, affordable, sleek looking, nice modular setup, positive latching visor with good seal, at 45mph it's not very noisy, nice padding, really nice & wide visibility, I like the drop down sun shade, the easiest strap to use!, firm positive lock on the modular closing action, no wild crazy graphics or colors - simple and elegant. Cons: Not very deep - it felt strange compared to my last helmet which almost touches my shoulders, the drop-down sun visor touches my nose - not for those with long faces, the forehead pad is a bit tight but should ease over time, almost no air ventilation! two tiny vents on top and a small opening in the front, it was 85 degrees today and I had to crack open the visor for air. I purchased this helmet on the premise that it has an advanced air circulation feature - I think it needs to move air period in order to work...at 45mph I'm not impressed. You cannot sell used helmets by law and my return window is past, I guess this will be my highway only helmet as in the city my head will overheat from lack of air. I've never had a modular helmet before, for gas stops and drinking liquids once in a while it's the cats meow. I'm not totally unhappy with it, it's much better than the last one I bought that went back the same day. It has more positives to be worth keeping, it's not $300 and has all the options I've wanted. I'll be interested to see what the wind noise will be like on the highway, I might update after then. Hoping not to test in the rain. ... show more

Got this for my son to wear on his e-bike. Wanted his head to be protected which this does well. It seems to be made well and is a good value for the money. Can’t put a price on safety. He likes it because it looks cool and is comfortable.

Comfortable, good snug fit, wide sight range, hinges are solid and reasonably durable, can be airy and noisy if not fully closed as well as when the face cover is up. Vents and seal under the chin make a nice positive air pressure movement through the helmet so it doesn't feel like your suffocating even at lower speeds, Otherwise decent product for the price. ... show more

Title; however, you're GONNA want to clean/spray this thing out after *every* use unless you brush your teeth immediately before getting into it or wear a layer under it. Also, the optics do fog pretty easily but as long as you can get wind in your favor and/or 30 mph, you're fine. If you can't do that, you likely don't need the full-face aspect anyway, so not a huge deal. ... show more

I absolutely love this helmet. It fits me like a glove. I love the fact that I can raise the entire chin guard out of my way if I need to take a drink of water or talk to somebody, the internal sunvisor is fantastic. The outer clear visor fits over it and locks in the place perfectly. I can’t say enough good about this helmet. being from South Carolina it’s Very hot here. It’s nice to have a helmet where I can take the lining out and wash it and have a nice fresh helmet The next time I ride. I’d recommend this helmet to anybody. ... show more

For a cheaper helmet I can't complain. I've only tested this with one ride. The helmet Is stylish, the front defogging vent works well, for I rode on a 45f spring afternoon and would only fog the clear visor when stopped. But once moving again it would clear right up. Considering my other cheap full faces would fog even while moving. The Double visor is a nice feature to block out te sun considering I do where glasses/contacts. And I have tired the sun visor with glasses on and it clears them. The top vents breath well also, so well that I ended up closing them while riding because my head was getting cold. Now again this was on a cool spring day. So far no con's with the little time I've owned it. Heck, once again, it's a cheap helmet and alot of bang for your buck. Also Comes with a string back pack that the helmet came in. One last thing, I have a small head and I am 6'1" & weigh 160lbs at 33yrs of age. So bought a medium size judging by other people reviews saying they run small and it fits perfect, snug but not too snug. ... show more
