No, you are not getting the real thing, so please don't expect that. If I got atleast a handful of wears out of this set, I'd be happy.I usually wear silver, but found a few occasions this year where I was wishing I had some gold"ish" jewelry to wear. This set is perfect for that. They are individual necklaces, not 1 triple layer necklace, so each can be worn separately. There is a pretty little crystal in the back of each, adding a nice touch. If you wore 1 more as a chocker, and had an open back, you would have a nice extra touch there. - the sweet little set cam with the 3 necklaces, packaged individually, all in 1 gift box with a wipe cloth. There was a little set of hair pins (not sure the reason, but nice gift!), and a nice touch that I love (you might be able to relate if you spend a lot of time alone), was the hand written sweet card thanking for the purchase.
