I bought this little crab as a way to keep my baby entertained and to help with his development during his first few months of life. These have been my impressions so far: Price: pretty reasonable price. The toy did not break the bank, and while I saw other options with lower prices, the higher rating from people made me decide to go for this particular choice. Material: all-plastic construction. The plastic does feel flimsy in some parts of the toy, but then again, considering the price, costs has to be cut somewhere. Visual appeal: this is definitely a toy that will catch the attention of your little one. They are made for babies, after all, and they "look at me" factor is definitely built into this toy. Downsides: This toy is endlessly annoying for adults, at least it is for me, and the only reason I keep it is because my baby is fascinated with it. For whatever reason, this toy comes with its own charging input instead of micro USB or USB C. If you lose the cable, you will have no way of charging the toy. The toy itself loses charge pretty quickly, and takes a long time to recharge. The legs tangle easily. One more thing, there is no control for the volume. It will ALWAYS play at high volume as soon as you turn it on, and that is it. The only way to control the music is to turn the toy itself off.

I cannot stress enough how much this crab has saved us. Our baby daughter despised tummy time. She would start screaming - turning herself purple within the first two minutes of tummy time. We were becoming discouraged and afraid we were not doing enough to help her reach her tummy time milestone. Four months, countless YouTube videos, nursery songs, high-contrast books and images later, we were still struggling. I kept seeing this crab in Tik Tok videos but was hesitant on getting something that was popular on social media without proper research. But with her 4 month check up approaching, I decided to make the purchase with the hopes that the many positive reviews would prove to be true. Not all heroes wear capes, some are toys that run around wild. Thanks to this toy my baby girl is up to 15 mins of tummy time per session! Yes, the crab runs wild sometimes, but I have become a master at creating enclosures with the baskets and an ottoman. The music is loud, but I honestly don’t mind it! I am just so happy that my baby girl is happy and enjoying her tummy time! We still have some catching up to do, but we are definitely more hopeful.

This toy is well made and the babies and toddlers I watch find it very entertaining. It was a fairly good value. It charges fast and seems to hold a charge for quite a while. The movement and lights are fun. The only complaint is that the music is incredibly loud, repetitive and obnoxious. I wish there was a way to have the crab move around without the music on or have less obnoxious music that is quieter. Even a volume dial would merit another 2 stars for this toy! Its a deal breaker after a while because I can only tolerate this toy's sound in small doses. I have to hide it from time to time because it is that irritating.
