  • My First Slider review 1 7-27-22
Color: SE-slider
I am excited and nervous. my first slider and probably like you, saw mixed reviews. Day 1 Likes: Great packaging. Solid and safe. More cords than expected, and had a battery included. Yayyyy. Powered up with battery, but not with powerbank. The powerbank is 5v2.1a, which may be problem since instructions call for 5v2a. The F550/F570 worked perfect though. I Downloaded app with QR code, click the ‘Chocolate Series’. App downloaded fine, Bluetooth connected on Iphone xs Max without issue. The A -B setup done in 30 seconds. Overall a 4. will update in week. ... show more

  • Maybe it will work for you...
Color: chocolate-02
Overall, I was disappointed this product. I really wanted to like it. Small form factor, dampening built in without an external wheel. But in the end I had to return mine. Maybe it was just my copy and hopefully yours might be better, but the locking mechanism is not strong enough. It seems like you simply add extra tension to the belt instead of an actual lock. What happens is the the slider becomes stiff enough to hold the camera in place if you are sitting level, but if you are on any type of an incline with a camera that has any weight, and it slides all the way. Also, their is a noticeable tilt in the slide when going from one extended side to the other. Not a ton, but I can see the bubble in the level on my tripod head lilting from one side to the other as I slide. And it is noticeable in the shots you get with this, especially if there is a level object (ie a table or shelf) you can see it tilt in the shot. Again, maybe it's just my copy. YMMV. But in the end the reason I returned mine was that it's truly defective. There is an audible click (you can feel it too) after you unlock the slider and try to move it. Once the slider moves past the first click it seems to be gone for the rest of the time you use it. The tough part is that it doesn't happen right away each time. It might be three or four slides later that it clicks. But it only clicks once each time. Not until after you lock it down and then unlock it again will it click again. This makes me think something in the locking mechanism is not quite right and it's catching. Makes me nervous enough to send it back. And I probably won't be getting another one. ... show more

  • Loved it, but returned it anyway
Color: chocolate-02
Love everything about this slider. The only thing that made me return it though is that it’s not quite sturdy enough. And I was just putting a Sony a7iv with a plastic built Tamron lens. There was inconsistency in the track where it would stutter almost as if going over a hump. And the base and top plates had just enough play on them to show up when using a wide angle lens. If it was just for personal work I’d say no big deal, but it’s for work that pays bills so I ended going for a 15lb edelkrone wing instead. Works way better and worth the extra 300 bucks if you need reliability. ... show more

  • Not bad, really lightweight, but no accessories.
It has a nice look, it is comfortable in hand, very lightweight and the Arca-Swiss plate is useful on a compatible tripod. But these are all the pros imo. Now the cons: - the 3/8 and 1/4 screw holes on the bottom are in weird location, placed in a very unusual way to the very left side so that is impossible to use both on a tripod plate. - there are no compatible accessories like top handle, side handle, etc. - the distance between the screw holes on sides is 20mm and 30mm on top. This is uncommon. All other manufacturers are using 9mm and 18mm, so in order to attach handles you'll need to buy NATO rails. For top the 46mm is too short, so I had to use the 60mm one that looks ugly. - The HDMI clamp for GH5 cannot be used if a rail is attached to the left side. ... show more

  • Very high quality and reasonable priced
Color: chocolate-02
Pros: 1. It is smooooooooooth!!! 2. Damping effect works perfectly with both big and small setup, such as my Nikon850 or iPhone XS Max with Monment Lens. 3. Vertical sliding smooth as well. Note: for the full frame setup, you do need to hold the bottom so you can control the descending speed to your desire. For the smaller setups, it will slowly descend on its own. Either way, the motion is smooth. 4. Light weight for mobility but heavy enough for the quality feel and stability 5. Small size but doubles its moving range if mounted on a tripod Cons: none It is my go to slider now. I don’t see reasons for needing my other sliders ... show more

  • small and functional
Color: chocolate-02
This slider has 2 tracks, of which the distance of movements are additive, effectively doubling the distance of the slider’s track length. It is smooth. In particular, it is smoother than my previously owned sliders because of its dampening capability. I tested out this capability by pushing (and moving) the slider track plate, stopping it, and then releasing my hand. I observed that the slider track plate bounced back a little, telling me that the internal pressure existed in absorbing the hand pressure. This capability sets it apart from my other sliders, which while smooth, are more sensitive and dependent on a steady hand. Highly recommended it. ... show more

  • Affordable cage but limited
This is a nice fitting and affordable cage, however, I returned it because the the bottom mounting screws are offset. This means it can't be used with any 15 mm rail support system. If that's not an issue for you, then it could be worth the investment.

  • A great little slider. Perfect for macro photography
Color: chocolate-02
This little slider is sheer genius. Very fluid study motion and counterbalanced weight. Not sure why so many negative reviews. I use this daily for shooting toy figures and other macro shots. No complaints after 6 months. Still working perfectly.
