I got this to help out at the stove. If I'm doing things in my wok, or at other times, I need this to hold a ladle or two bamboo wok tools, pasta tongs or whatever. I got really tired of the mess I made on the counter from not having the right support tools. This solves that problem, plus it doubles as a lid rest, which I haven't used it for yet. It probably goes without saying but if there’s a lid (beautifully) resting in it, it’s a little weird to put a spatula or spoon in it as well. Impossible if you’re using a ladle. I feel like that could easily be alleviated if the wooden handle was further back. I know there’s another less cute version Yamazaki makes but obviously I went with the cute choice. Well made of steel, the bottom is plastic and removes easily to clean. I could see the wood handle become lost or unattached bc it uses 2 small clear bands to keep it in place, but I have a similar glass holder from the same line and haven’t lost its wood handle or small bands yet. ... show more

Always love the products from yamazaki home coz they all have that minimal look which i adore. This one looks great on the countertop and it's made of good quality. The only problem that I'm having is - when you place the lid on it, there's no other space to put the cooking utensil lol. But overall I still like it coz it looks nice :) ... show more

I needed this so badly and I wish I had gotten it years ago. Now I want a second one to put my ladles.. the only thing I worry now is if the plastic tray will melt if I put my cast iron pot cover on it... guess we’ll see...

Super cute. However the drip tray that you can remove to clean is not the same steel material but feels kind of cheap like plastic. It’s easy to clean if you remove that part but when it’s not in use, it collects dust and other dirt in the crevice, which means I need to clean it or at least give it a wipe before actually using. Not sure if the middle part is dishwasher safe ... show more

I like this so much!!!! It’s very sturdy, thick and strong enough to hold a heavy lid with my cooking utensils with ease. This is one of the best kitchen gadget inventions. I love the true white color too. It matches with my kitchen theme. I’m getting another one before they run out.
