This YAMAKATO Carburetor seems good quality and bolted right up ! Only thing it lacks the sediment bowl that my true OEM Honda GX 270 had ! I would very much like a sediment bowl ! I think it great to be able to remove a sediment bowl and have a look ! Certainly if you have not run the machine in a while ! Having a look a great idea ! This not a perfect replacement because of that ! It is close enough to get you engine back to running after the new modern gasoline , corrodes your original carburetor to trash ! That what happened to me ! My fuel tank and carb were totally fubar ! Because I left gasoline in the system and did not crank it in over a year ! The Point :) This carb is almost perfect ! ALMOST ! That about all we can expect nowadays :) ... show more

I picked up a used Brush Master chipper. Great shape. Would not start. Cleaned the carburetor twice. Would not start. I found this beauty on Amazon. It was an identical carb for my Canadian-built chipper. It was an easy installation. All parts and gaskets fit. My chipper started on the first pull. I ran the machine for an hour. Carburetor immediately leaked gas when fuel line connected. Even with incorporated shutoff valve closed it still leaks just as bad. Removed fuel bowl, float appears to function. Shut off valve does not work! Carb leak’s excessively! Shouldn’t garner one star.
