6-ply 100% maple shells with satin finishes deliver warm, bright tones and just the right amount of sustain. The Tour Custom series was designed and priced to be the ideal option for the working drummer. These drums feature Absolute lugs, inverse DynaHoops, and Yamaha's YESS tom mount system. All- maple shells give Tour Custom drums their warm, bright tone. These shells are designed with a 6 ply-5.6 mm / 45 degree bearing edge that adds tonal depth and quick response and provides just the right amount of sustain. Finished with a beautiful satin lacquer (with all-new colors) that maximizes the sonic potential of the maple shell, Tour Custom drums play well in any musical style. Y.E.S.S. mounts are designed to minimize contact between the shell and mount to deliver a wider dynamic range and longer sustain. 2.3 mm Inverse Dynahoops control the natural overtones inherent to all-maple drums and focuses the fundamental tone of the shell. Shells feature exclusive Yamaha absolute lugs. Their sophisticated design adds a touch of class to the drums. The Tour Custom Series is available in 2 shell pack configurations. A 22"" bass drum, 16"" floor tom, 12""and 10"" toms. Or a 20"" bass drum, 14"" floor tom, 12"" and 10"" toms. In addition, 13"" and 14"" toms can be purchased individually, giving players the option to expand their sonic pallet."
