  • Nice keyboard and well worth it.
Size: 76-Key Style: Touch-Sensitive Keys
I did enjoys this as my first keyboard while learning piano. It’s a good size and portable for a 76 key piano. It’s has many voices and the key action is really not bad in my novice opinion. The sound is great and all in all a really nice keyboard. My piano teacher remarked “ this is a really nice keyboard”. I had a lot of fun with this keyboard and it was light enough to transport to class every week as well as play on battery power on my porch or deck or anywhere really. I eventually traded it in at guitar center for a Roland fp30x because I was/am much more now into an 88 key “piano” with weighted keys and all that. But in all honesty this keyboard would serve me well for far longer into my piano journey. So yes, I do think this is a great keyboard and you will have great fun making music with it. It is so much fun to play around wall the different sounds also, my Roland is more like just piano and much more limited in how many voices (instruments) it can mimic. By the way I traded it in at guitar center for about half of what I paid for it on Amazon, which was pretty reasonable to begin with. Considering the fun and experience I had with it. It was we worth it and I really could be still playing and learning with it if I didn’t upgrade. ... show more

  • A worthy introductory keyboard.
Size: 61-Key Style: Touch-Sensitive Keys
I bought this keyboard for my 7 year old grandson's birthday and he & his siblings love it. Although he's just beginning piano lessons, he's able to use this one at home to practice. They love to tinker with it's on-board rhythmic tunes for improptue jam & dance sessions. I also bought a matching 'X' keyboard stand & bench set to keep it off the floor. It's a good introductory instrument that won't frustrate a child (or adult) because it sounds great, and has proper key function and feel. ... show more

  • Best compact portable piano.
Size: 61-Key Style: Touch-Sensitive Keys
I love it. I had an 88 key Yamaha once. I loved the quality, but it was too big for my room, so I sold it. I bought a 61 key to replace it and it's lightweight and sounds beautiful. Yamaha is simply the best sounding keyboard out there. You don't even need a stand, you can place it on your bed, watch TV while you practice and get hours of enjoyment. I wish I didn't wait so long to buy it. It's affordable and great for beginners. ... show more

  • Great Purchase
Size: 76-Key Style: Touch-Sensitive Keys
For the money, this is a great keyboard. I'm not a professional, but have played the piano for over 70 years. My Baldwin is no longer available and I needed something I could play the "outside" world couldn't hear. The touch is adjustable and key reaction feels good. The keys react to my touch-if I want louder I play harder. I haven't explored all the options but seems easy to program and use. I'm glad I got the 76 key model. It isn't something you give much thought to after playing a full piano keyboard, but you'd be surprised how much of the keyboard you do use!! Also, I bought a Yamaha sustain pedal and it is GREAT. The only suggestion I have is the plugin for the headset should be in front, otherwise you are going over the keyboard or around and it has a tendency to get caught under the keyboard. If you're not using a stand, measure the height of the table (or whatever you are using) and add the height measurement of the instrument and adjust for your comfortable playing height. I bought a booster seat to accommodate for the playing comfort. Easier on my arms, wrists and shoulders. The sound is wonderful. I would recommend this product. Good for a beginner, but great for those of us who have experience and play for our own enjoyment. ... show more

  • Good product
Size: 61-Key Style: Touch-Sensitive Keys
Sounds very professional, not like the toy pianos that others are using, and has all the features. I recommend it over any of the below $200 keyboards, can't beat the sound and solidly made. Nice package overall, only missing a sustain pedal.

  • Amazing Quality and Price!!! 5 Stars!!!
Size: 61-Key Style: Full-Sized Keys
I was worried when my Yamaha arrived because of a big hole in the box. However, I opened the box, inspected, unpacked and plugged it in. Nothing was damaged. I am extremely happy with my Yamaha. Incredible low price for Amazing quality.

  • Hmm
Size: 76-Key Style: Touch-Sensitive Keys
It came fast, and I was excited to play with it. But I noticed the volume on the speakers would increase and decreases spontaneously as I was playing, I also needed to crank the volume to max to be able to actually hear it. Anything lower, and it was barely audible. The sounds are great considering it's a yamaha, but i can't add other sounds, no firmware update (probably because it's newer), and after playing my roland rd-88, this keys on the yamaha are damn slippery! I needed weighted keys. But I love how light it is. I'll keep playing with it throughout the week to see how it feels, but the low volume, and keys are a bit of a turn off for me. I just wanted something light to put in my bedroom and be able to move around easily. I also found I should have purchased the 61key instead. I don't like to return things, but the slippery action has me straining my arms to stay on the keyboard. We'll see.... ... show more

  • Great little keyboard!
Size: 61-Key Style: Touch-Sensitive Keys
I am upgrading this review from two stars to five stars. I assumed I was like the other unhappy buyers who did not receive an AC adapter, but then when I was using the packing materials to hold the keyboard that I’m upgrading from, I discovered that in one of the Styrofoam and pieces, there is a compartment with an AC adapter in it! I had already searched the box, and I had given the Styrofoam a once over, and only found it by accident. It’s not heavy enough to make the Styrofoam piece feel like there might be something hiding in it. So if you think you’ve been shorted, take a good look at everything! This is a very nice little keyboard for me to pick up piano skills again. However, like many other reviews I’ve seen, mine came sealed, original retail packaging, with the 12 V AC adapter missing. I already have one, so I’m not going to go to the trouble of returning, but it is kind of ridiculous, as it’s surely a known issue by now. ... show more
