A GOOD SCREWDRIVER SET IS REQUIRED TO BUILD THIS! Putting it together was tiring, but straightforward... until you get to the last step. For some reason, the screws for the final step don't come with predrilled holes. Instead, you have to push hard (or drill yourself) in order to get the screw to bite through the MDF. One has to do this during the hardest part of the installation, which involves one person lifting a heavy tabletop while another aligns the screws. Even if you're handy, this step is a challenge. Be prepared! The table looks great, and the storage is very functional. The metal base is ridiculously sturdy, but I do worry about the weight limit on the tabletop. Sometimes, I can hear a "cracking" sound when weight is put on it. So... maybe it's great for resting your cup of coffee, but don't go climbing over it. Everything was packaged well. For $150, can one really complain? ... show more

    • Buy a large 1/8 inch allen key, about a 12 inch long one.

Awsome table, I was hesitant to open it at first because it's pretty heavy and where I wanted to put it was right in front of my recliners, so I would have to move it every time I wanted to recline but I went and bought furniture sliders for use on the carpet and you can move it so easy as if it was ten pounds. There's a ton of great storage space in it too. It comes up to the perfect height when extended and opens and closes very smoothly. I hardly ever right reviews but I was just so pleased I opened it and didn't return it, great table. A little tricky to put together when it comes to attaching the springs. Here's a good tip screw the springs set to the top side of the table first then unscrew them so you have pilot holes to make it easier to screw together when you are basically working with five inches of space in between the two parts of the table then screw the bottom set on first and attach the top. You definitely have to be pretty hand to put it together. Also you WILL need a long allen key set about a 12 inch kit, all the screws are allen key screws and they give you a two inch allen key. It will probably take you 8 hours to screw them in if you don't have a large allen key or if you can just buy a large 1/8 inch allen key that's all you need not the whole set, trust me it's needed to put this table together. This is a beautiful table! However Teo pieces snd the shipping box was damaged in transit. Build quality great. Easy cleaning Nice amount of storage for iPad and computers and papers. This unit doesn’t wobble when extended at all as i expected it to. Great value for the money. Has not chipped or broken yet with two wild kids. Cleans easily. Levels perfect with small sofa. 2 large 17” laptops pair perfect side by side on top. I only needed a second person in the last set see photos. There was no way to hold up the table top and screw in at the same time. Disliked that some of the part indicators were showing on the outside of the table. Some of the drill holes were too large for parts, and didn’t fit snug. When table was fully constructed, some areas weren’t flush. Overall, nice table and great purchase for the price!

The media could not be loaded. Overall, its a good solid table and functions as it should. But the top is probably the cheapest built table top I have ever encountered. Its approx 2in wider than the base long ways,, but almost even with sides front to back, odd. All 4 edges of the top feel solid and a couple sections in the middle. But it sounds like there is balled up wax paper or something inside it. The laminate is stronger than the guts are... in the process of building a solid wood top for it, hoping the spring arms can handle the difference in weight! ... show more
