I bought this in spite of the warnings about the "direction" - that was all true. But, everything was clearly marked and they gave you an extra in every bag of screws, etc. I am 60, bad back, have had a stroke and still put this together myself in a morning, with plenty of breaks. My son helped me with the top. So its doable you just have to use logic and take your time. That said? It came w/o a scratch on it, is GORGEOUS and sturdy and will save my slipped disc when I play on my computer watching TV (I do this constantly) or have dinner out here.     • Ok sized and easy
It was very easy to put together. The instructions are a bit vague, but easy. It seems like cheap material but is very sturdy. It is also kind of heavy and not wide, but it's a good match for my living room. The hinges for the top are not quite and can slam shut fast when trying to close it.

I was ready to write a great review, I assembled this by myself and found the directions very easy to follow until I got to step 13 out of 16 (about two hours into assembly) and it was clear I was sent a defective piece. The pre drilled holes are not in the right spot. I tried absolutely every thing to make it work, went through all instructions again & even had my boyfriend and father (both carpenters) check to be sure I didn’t make a mistake. They confirmed that the holes for the connecting screws were in the complete wrong spot. I tried to call the seller company but they were closed for the night, so I sent them an email, with pictures & contacted the seller through Amazon to be sure I went through the right channels. The next day I called Amazon & was told all they can do is send the company an email & they have 48 hours to respond. I called the seller company again, this time during their business hours, but the only option they give is to leave a message. All I wanted was to speak to someone because I’m now stuck with this half assembled table in the middle of my living room until they contact me. It’s now a Friday afternoon and their business hours do not include weekends. I was hoping for a quick resolution but it’s seeming like I’m gonna have to take it apart & return it. I’ve included a picture to show the screws that are sticking out, they are actually supposed to connect the side of the table to the middle piece but as you can see it doesn’t come close to lining up. There were a lot of small pieces to put together before I got to this point. Complete waste of my time & they can’t even respond to my emails to work on a solution. ... show more

    • It’s Decent
The product is large and heavy in its packaging, so the first time it was delivered the box looked beat up and of course the pieces inside were damaged. Thankfully, we were able to get a replacement sent without having to figure out how to send the other one back. The other one arrived with the box in much better condition, but there were still pieces damaged inside. Luckily I was able to mix and match from the two sets but I have concerns about it’s durability based on this. Putting it together was not hard but kind of a pain with the design because the screwdriver I had was too long to fit into some of the spaces. The last step (top) was the most difficult and required two people. I’ve had a lift top table before and this one feels much cheaper in comparison. The up and down motion is wobbly but it’s sturdy once it’s in either position. Overall, the table looks very nice, so hoping the durability will surprise me.
