It's exactly what I was hoping for. I was nervous to buy it because it was so cheap but I'm so glad I rolled the dice because this thing is sick! I got it so I can put my laptop and monitor on it when I work from home because my apartment is too tiny for an office desk so I'm stuck sitting on the couch while working. I also needed a table to eat on and a kitchen table is definitely too big for my apartment. So I bought this and I'm so stoked it turned out to be as perfect as it is for my situation. It's the perfect height to sit on the couch and have it really close to me when I'm sitting with good posture. It's really solid and durable. The lift up arms have really powerful hydraulic pivot poles so it's strong enough for both my laptop and monitor without feeling wobbly. I'm amazed at how solid everything is. I halfway expected it to be mostly particular board because of how low the price was. Assembly and instructions were easy to understand and straight forward but you'll definitely want to have a drill to put this together. The screw holes are really tight at first and hand screwing them with a normal non ratcheting screw driver sucked. It took me like 3 hours to put together but if I had a drill I would have been able to get it done in probably 30 minutes. I definitely highly recommend this table. I love this table! Its good for storage spaces and smaller places like aparments or condos. I would only leave a couple tips for someone if you wanted to buy it: 1. Make sure you have a Philips head screwdriver. You'll need it but they don't provide one. 2. Have someone help you. I assembled it by myself and it took around 3 hours. If you have someone it will be easier to hold the lid to the table (that can be really tricky if your by yourself.) ... show more

The exterior of the coffee table looks great, and overall the design is nice. However, the issue was with the gas rod and bracket. The gas rod wasn’t pre-attached to the bracket, so I had to assemble it myself — which would’ve been fine if the gas rod actually worked. Unfortunately, it didn’t function properly and had no bounce, so the lifting mechanism didn’t work as intended. I couldn’t even put the gas rod to the bracket. I ended up buying a ready-made bracket to replace it. It would have been a solid 5-star product if the bracket and gas rod had been good quality. ... show more
