  • It will work!
Color: Espresso
It was smaller than I anticipated, less room in between the bottom shelf and the bottom of the table part. The lift is unbalanced, so you have to lift it from both ends. Makes sense though. Easy to assemble for the most part. I was able to assemble it myself except the last part, putting the hinges part on. Just needed someone to hold it for me while I screwed it in. It’s slightly disappointing but for the price… I guess it’s not bad. It will work! ... show more

  • Fantastic table
Color: Black
This table is fantastic, especially for the price paid. The operation of opening and closing the lid is smooth and simple. This table works excellent as a work space for those who need a table that can operate as a computer desk. The storage space is perfectly adequate for various small items such as coasters, books, or other useful items such as placemats or seasonal items. The surface is easy to clean and so far I have no scratches or visual defects (and I have a toddler so that says a lot). Highly recommend this table. ... show more

  • Over all pleased
Color: Black
It was a bit difficult at assembling at first, until you get a flow going. The wood piece that is inside when you raise the top is a bit flimsy. Probably best not to put anything too heavy in it. Everything else seems to be pretty sturdy and thick. Solid black color. Over all, I'm please with the product. ... show more

  • Easy af assembly
Color: White
You won’t be disappointed on a budget. The way it’s designed makes it extremely simple to put together. I almost followed the instructions but messed up towards the end and because the holes are so accurately lined up, I didn’t have a problem finishing. Excellent product but I suggest getting protection around edges (optional) but the corners definitely need protection or you can easily hurt yourself. Other than that I’m more than happy with this product. ... show more

  • Fairly easy to assemble
Color: White
For the most part, this table was easy to assemble, minus one small detail. The "front" label was pointing towards the wrong direction. Once this was figured out, assembly was smooth sailing. The weight balancing springs were pretty strong. They seem to be for a heavier tabletop, so I wouldn't lift the top with any drinks or anything fragile on it. The tabletop is fully supported by the legs, but I wouldn't attempt to double it as a bench. You definitely get your money's worth, but don't be expecting anything more than Ikea type particle board furniture ... show more

  • Nice but assembly not so easy
Color: Espresso
The assembly was a challenge, wrong stickers in the wrong place, holes not matched good. But the springs are strong and it does open and close good, not bad for a cheap table, once togeather, I like it and it works for me. The price is o.k. But the assembly was hell. I do wish people wouldn’t put stickers on the front that are hard to get off. ... show more

  • Useful Practical
Color: Black
This is a great coffee table and I use it all the time because I work from home and watch my 18 month old. It's great for working on laptop and hopping up real quick. However it's not very good quality. The bottom shelf broke already on both sides within the first two weeks of having it. Don't put your feet on it! Lol. You get what you pay for so for what I was expecting it is practical and fine. It's a transitional coffee table. Once my daughter is no longer a toddler I'll be getting a nicer piece of furniture. Great for right now though and for what I needed. It arrived with the box all broken up and slight damage on the top table. Didn't find out till i put the whole thing together. I negotiated, the company took off $25 bucks I think? Maybe more. It was reasonable. ... show more

  • Better than I expected.
Color: Black
I just finished putting this table together. It looks like an IKEA Lack coffee table on steroids, bit it is far sturdier and heavier. The hinges are spring-loaded rather than pneumatic, which means the top doesn't always lift evenly, and there aren’t any stopping points between fully open and fully closed. For that reason, it's probably inadvisable to raise and lower it with anything fragile or spillable on top, and I absolutely would not recommend it for anyone with small children. An acquaintance lost his toddler son to a freak accident involving a similarly designed piece of furniture, and I would not wish the trauma of that experience on my worst enemy. But for normal adult use, it is absolutely fine. Most of the negative reviews I read before buying this involve complaints about the assembly process, issues with the hinges, or dog whistles about the country of origin. The instructions make IKEA manuals look like quantum physics. Everything is clearly labeled with a letter or number that is referemced in the manual, and the only tool you need is a Phillips screwdriver. If you know your letters, your numbers, and "righty tighty lefty loosey," you've probably got this. The only steps I found difficult at all were putting the springs on the hinges and attaching the top to the table body. If I had another person to help me, I would have attached the hinges to the body, then the top, and saved the spring installation (which I did by pulling the full spring with my dominant hand while holding one end in place with the other hand) for last. But I installed it on my own by propping the tabletop on a height-adjustable TV table and raising it until the screw holes aligned. Maybe I had better luck with the hinges than some people, or maybe others did something wrong in installing them. But I'm 5'1" and not terribly strong, and I can raise and lower the tabletop with one hand (albeit unevenly). As for the people who expected bespoke carpentry from RTA furniture at a beer-budget price point or blamed the manufacturer for their failure to read the measurements...that's on them. This table is a couple inches lower than most models out there, but I chose it for precisely that reason, as my couch is pretty low. ... show more
