Used for backyard grass seeding project, it s heavy and material is all metal, handle part covered with soft material so it wont hurt after using it 2 hours. I am glad bought it.

If you have a light duty job then this will likely work for you. Leveling sand or tilled dirt maybe. If you need to hit the ground hard to compact dirt, which is exactly why I got this, then just go to one of the big box stores and get one for about the same price. That's what I did after trying this one out. First, it's not that solid or heavy. The little bolts and tiny nuts and washers are a pain. I don't care for assembling this type of tool. The set includes one of those cheap little wrenches and a tiny screwdriver that doesn't actually fit properly so it lets the whole thing rotate if you don't hold it in really tight. You're better off just walking over to the tool box and getting appropriate tools. But if you don't have any, these will eventually get the job done. Second, I started tamping the dirt down. I needed it compacted down good so I was coming down with a lot of force. As soon as my hand slid down and hit the end of the bolt I threw this piece of junk over in the scrap metal pile. I immediately drove to Home Depot and got a heavier, more solid tamper with a one piece handle with no bolts to hit and remove skin from my hand for about 2 more dollars than this is priced at. Again, if you're looking to lightly tap soft material into a nice flat area, this will work for you. Taking this to a job site and doing heavy work with it, you don't want it.

I was looking for Tamper for my yard work. I found this very handy, easy to install and it doesn't take much space as well. This is great product and value for money does it work perfect not too heavy to put extra effort and not light even. I am happy with the product.

Easy to assemble. I need this kind of tempering tool for my cricket pitch where the surface of the pitch is uneven. Also very useful in my yard to make the soil surface even .
