  • Perfect mixer for live sound - and an incredible value!
Model: CT120
As someone with a great deal of experience with audio electronics, I think this 12-Channel mixer from XTUGA is just a really well built unit, especially for the price! This 12-Channel mixer might be too much firepower for a typical DJ gig, where minimal sources are required, but for sound mixers of multi source live events or live bands, this is a great solution. I will personally be using this mixer hardwired in my rehearsal space to record 3 or 4-piece live band rehearsals. There are plenty of inputs for mics and instruments, even enough to record a drum kit with a few isolated mics. Input/Outputs include all the usual suspects (XLR/Line/RCA tape input) and each channel has individual gain, pan and 3-channel EQ controls along with FX send capability for external effects units. The sound quality seems on par with most of the top brands, but for a fraction of the price. The sliders feel a bit stiff, but I think a little break in time will work wonders, and nothing feels particularly "cheap" despite the price tag. The mixer also includes a simple onboard effect unit, that can be added to each input track individually, but it is only for delay effects. Some really nice bonus features of the XTUGA mixer include Bluetooth connectivity for wireless audio streaming to the mixer and remote control of your bluetooth device - very handy for playing music to the house output during breaks. Also the ability to connect USB devices directly, such as mp3 players, or thumb drive, etc. There is also a record function to a USB flash drive, but I have not tested that, as I would record to a laptop/DAW through a separate audio interface. Some things that I would love to see added to this mixer is the ability to use it as a digital audio interface with my MBP DAW, but that is asking a lot I realize. Also it would be nice to have an onboard reverb along with the delay to add to the effects bank, as I think that would be potentially more useful for live bands, etc. Aside from that, this mixer is an absolute winner and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great portable audio mixing solution. As always, the durability of any new purchase is TBD, but on the other hand, you can bring this light, portable mixer to the dive bars and not worry too much about somebody in the crowd dumping a beer on your expensive high end Mackie mixer. That's why I love inexpensive gear... especially gear with this type of quality. Look forward to seeing/hearing what else XTUGA brings to market! ... show more

  • Works great, priced well
Model: CT80
It works perfectly, however the one downfall (that I was hoping for) was the usb output does not seperate all 8 channels, only left/right, so you can only have 2 channel output. Other than that it worked great for my drum mics, the outputs are nice sound is super clear, no static, or buzzing. It's very worth the small amount of money! ... show more

  • This is a *great* Mixer for my 3 piece band using backing tracks !! (..a note about power)
Model: CT80
We *love* this mixer in our 3 piece band. It's perfect! We play our backing tracks right from the thumb drive socket. Sound quality is excellent !! Helpful info: I read in a review somewhere that someone's quit working. Since these are so inexpensive, I purchased a second one at a different vendor as a backup. There are a lot of these from China out there under different brands etc (slightly different color schemes etc). After about 9 months mine went dead during a gig set up (good thing I had a spare). I am a tech, so after troubleshooting.. turned out to be a bad solder joint in the power supply. In the process I had been inside the mixer to check things out.. the insides are *beautifully clean* and well designed ! Upshot is.. great Mixer, but not so sure about the power supply. I bought an 8v 2a replacement supply, and it works great. One more thing.. if you buy a back up mixer but it is a slightly different brand or color scheme.. be aware that the power supplies all have different specs and might not be swap-able from mixer to mixer. Synopsis: Fantastic multi-featured Mixer for the price! ... show more

  • Won't buy again
Model: CT80
Ordered this for our American Legion Post for the sound system I have been putting together. Been running studio and live sound since 1983 so I have a little experience in it. Had it all hooked up and running great. Everything was sounding fine running music through it to a 20 band EQ and the to two Crown DSi amps. All of a sudden output volume got cut in half on every channel. No matter what input I was using, bluetooth, mic, guitars, everything. Had to max outputs just to get decent volume. Tried a different brand mixer from a local store and everything is back to normal. Apparently this mixer is VERY sensitive to input wattage (which was less than 3 watts) and instead of clipping it it just lets it on through causing problems. Will not buy this one again ... show more

  • Used for a church AV setup.
Model: CT60
Absolutely love this little mixer for our budget friendly church AV setup. We run two wireless mics via XLR cables as well as to room microphones wired over 100 ft XLR cables. We also play mp3 files into the built-in mp3 player as needed . The mixer has a lot of nice features that let us control the quality of the tone, as well as adjust preamp levels and sliders during the service. It does have echo and delay so you can give it that big echoey room feel, but we don't use that. The audio quality is excellent. Pretty low noise floor for such an inexpensive mixer. For broadcasting inside the church and live streaming, we use the left and right channels separately. The room broadcast only receives the signals from the pastor and lector mic but the live stream we also include the room microphones so people can hear the piano and singing. This is just done by panning left and right. And we feed the right channel to the church speakers, and the left channel through our ATEM mini video box. Would definitely recommend this. Plus you can obviously get the larger mixers but it all looks like it uses the same technology. ... show more
