My son has loves his Xtratuf 6 inch deck boots! He has been wearing this style of boots from Xtratuf for several years. While he started off wearing them for fishing and boating, he now wears them all the time in everyday life. He has several colors to match his various fits. I was shocked and relieved that he finds these so comfortable as he was never one that tolerates any shows that fit snug around his foot (let alone his ankle)! My husband purchased these boots for fishing trips, outdoor concerts, and outdoor events. Many people that we know that own these boots in lighter colors, like gray, seem to have more dirt and wear show on their boots after owning for a couple of months, so I convinced my husband to get the hunter green and he couldn't be happier! He hasn't worn them out yet, so, we cannot speak to the functionality or how well they will protect his feet in the elements, but we will update when he does. He usually wears a size 9 in shoes, but we read some reviews to size up, so we purchased a size 10. He said that they fit a little loose even with socks, but he plans to put gel insoles. I think the size 9 would have been too tight if and when his feet were to swell if he were to be up on his feet for 6+ hours. ... show more
