I bought 1100 thinking it would be enough for my ten foot tree, I need another 600. My not natural tree has worked for 6 years and I just love it. I didn't want to add it to the earthly dumping ground so removed all of the old dead lights. That was a process. When I first received these I plugged them in real quick to make sure they work. The lights got hot so quickly but I still had them bunched up from the box so I figured it was that. I wish I would have done something earlier and I would have returned them. When I finally decided to put them in my artificial tree I realized the lead wire from plug to first bulb is very short, my fault because I didn't check, but I've never seen one so short in any string of lights I've bought in my entire life. Unfortunately I can't use them or a lot of lights would be just in midair from the plug to the tree. They're still pretty hot even once you straighten them out The lights are nice and bright so there is one good thing. ... show more

I bought a few boxes earlier this year and when I tried to decorate last week, only half the string was lit. As you can see, they are still attached and twist-tied. Never used.
