These were rolled very tightly and are taking hours to decompress. You have to really work at fluffing up the grass. But they look great then! Terrible chemical smell though! I put them outside to air them out. I think they'll be fine then.

My wife ordered these fake grass placemats not to use as placemats, but to cover a heavily worn top of two bookshelves in her classroom. The decor mats worked well for this purpose. The mats have a black plastic bottoms that has texture to it, seemingly from the seams to sew the grass into the bottom part. The grass is attached to the bottom section, and it does not stick straight up but slants in one direction. While unpacking, some grass debris will fall off the mats, as one might expect. You can easily take a wet rag to clean any spills on the grass mats. The fake grass is a vibrant but realistic green color, looking like the real color of grass. ... show more

I wanted these grass placemats for a garden fairy themed birthday party we planned for my niece. They are cute - I will say that. However, the quality is nowhere near what I would have picked out in a store if I could have physically touch and see them. The mat itself is thin both in diameter and the grass displacement.
