    • You get what you pay for.......
The Xantrex Freedom 458 is a direct replacement for the RV2012 our home used before. The Xantrex 458 is a high quality inverter which costs a few hundred more but is well worth it. Other RV's us a cheaper inverter along with a separate charger to recharge the house batteries when the home is plugged in. However the Xantrex can do both automatically. It simplifies the design of your RV and makes diagnostic very easy. Some helpful tips to pass on is that the old RV2012 has a 3rd green connection for the chassis ground and the Freedom 458 does not. You'll need to connect the chassis ground cable to the negative led on the house batteries. The 458 also uses a new controller you must buy separate. Thanks ... show more

Installed this inverter with single output replacing my 14 year old inverter with dual output the new one is much more efficient, without being concerned about tripping unit circuit breakers. Running great 24/7 for one month now.

This was a great investment our old inverter was a 1000 watt so we upgraded to a 2000 and made a huge difference in our 98 pace arrow i bought the monitor as well hooked it done great way to ensure its working properly

    • Fairly heavy, so it can be awkward to install.
This was a direct replacement for the same model inverter/charger that failed in 2023 after many years of service. The failed unit was installed in 2005, and was OEM in the motorhome.
