That version had only one side you could attach to the mop head. One of the three prongs holders for the pad on that product broke off just from use and the prong holders weren't double sided like this product is which I didn't like I like this version has double sided prong holders on the cleaning pads. Yet I found it a challenge to unsnap to change out the cleaning pads- the top tabs have arrows that make it appear you should slide the tabs but they don't slide they snap open. I'm not sure how durable the snap tabs will be with more use (I've only had it a month). Overall this product is great for doing just as advertised! I like the double sided prong holders to hold the enviro friendly cleaning pad securely in place. Love-love-love the clean and dirty water sided bucket which is super easy to assemble and clean when done. Anyone with normal hand strength will be able to use this product with ease. The only deduction I would give if there were a half star option is that someone with arthritis or weakness in their hands (like I have) is going to have difficulty snapping and unsnapping the tabs to clean the pads-at least until it's been broken in. I had to have my husband do it for me and durability of the snap tabs over time is unknown. Despite this drawback the product has earned a 5 star rating from me.

Update: It's November 2025. I've owned this mop for over 4 years. I just recently purchased my first set of replacement mop heads, and they are even better (thicker and more pillowy) than the originals that came with the mop. The mop still works as intended, and I'm still surprised by how dirty my floors apparently are. Each time I mop, I am rewarded with that crazy disgustifaction moment when i dump out the dirty and excess clean water together. When I almost lost my mop bucket after cleaning a client's house and accidentally leaving it on the curb overnight, I was devastated and had begun planning to save up for a new X3 Mop bucket. Luckily, that was not necessary and my bucket was recovered safely. I do find myself wishing they had a courser scrubbing pad to go along with the soft mop pads, for those slightly stickier, dried on messes that need a little more elbow grease to get off. Original review: I bought this mop for the ease of use, but also for the three-chamber bucket that allows you to always rinse with clean water, instead of plunging the mop into a bucket of dirty water and rubbing the same dirt back onto your floors. I'm always surprised by how nasty the water is when I empty the bucket in comparison to the clean water. This mop works great and I feel like my floors are really getting clean, which motivates me to mop them more often! Additionally, the company is great. When after about 7 months or so, my original mop head had a weird malfunction in the pivot point so that the mop head could no longer move, I emailed the company about the issue and they sent me a replacement mop head free of charge. I'm happy to have this mop and happy to support this awesome company. On a separate note, I see some reviews complaining that you can't fit the mop into the clean water compartment (with the crescent shaped opening). I hope I can clarify something...that's the point. The mop is only meant to be inserted in the middle slot. That's the only one it goes into. To mop with clean water each time, you must turn the knob to allow the clean water to fill the rinse (middle) compartment, and rinse the mop in there only, using a little bit of your clean water each time (so you aren't rinsing with dirty water) and the squeegee then deposits the dirty water into the final dirty tank. If you stick your mop directly into the clean water reservoir at any time during the mopping process, you now have permanently contaminated water. And therefore you have defeated the purpose of the 3-compartment system, and are now using dirty water on your floors again. I hope the explanation helps anyone else who is reading reviews trying to get an idea of how this product works.

Overall the best mop we ever used. Idea of separating dirty water is great! We have a 3 yo kid and use the mop all the time, literally 2-5 times a day. It's easy to use, always clean and good looking too. One issue, however, it probably have a week spot, and just snapped yesterday π³ But after so much time of daily usage I guess it's not that bad after all. Pretty durable. We'll definitely buy new one, because we really love that one! Giving 4 stars, because snapped part could be a bit more durable as it's always under some pressure while using.

I know I have given great reviews already on my first mop but I have ordered replacement segments for mop handle and for mop head because a tab broke off. But I really have ti brag on this company. Customer service is fantastic! And when they say 100% free replacement - they mean it! One thing is a great product but when you have the best customer service to boot you really cannot go wrong. We need more companies and products like this made in the USA!

the idea of this is genius!! as I have been a housekeeper for over 25 yrs ! so i know a few things about a mop that it should provide just the basics i am talking !!! the mop head part lifts off the floor with the return pass back to me and i thought oh wow same thing as the spin mop where the plastic just scratchs on the pass back as it lifts too!!! this should of been something thats was noticed before making this available to the public as it is useless, if the mop itself does not work!!! in order for this not to happen you have to go as slow as a snail, and extremely careful and also lift down below on the handle which means you have to crouch down to keep this from not lifting! so this mop its self is useless now i have to find a mop like all of mine that are microfiber. I just have to find the right size as mine or to bed. Iβm wondering if itβs because itβs too small too light or what will be returning the whole unit unfortunately as there is no way i am going to work for it as it is supposed to work for me. hoping someone will reach out and tell me what mop head works for this bucket. just another thing for the customer to have to do!! so sad!! like its PERFECT besides that. i hate that the mop is so tiny but i was going to let that slide and just know i would have more work for my self but at least it would be efficient as it does do everything else wonderfully!!! wish me luck in my new project to find the proper mop that will fit and not lift on every moving pass a-lot of the times both ways passing if your not moving like a snail and crouching down to balance the bottom with the top. Not going to happen π

I so badly want to leave a 5-Star review for this mop, but I cannot. First off, the PROβS: This is my favorite mopβ ever. It works so well and I absolutely love how there are 3 chambers so it separates the dirt from the fresh, clean water. 98% of mops similar to this only have 2 chambers, so every time you submerge your mop into the water, youβre putting it into the dirty water vs. the X3, which separates the dirty water from the clean water. CON: The problem is that the mop head snaps into the pole, which in theory makes sense, however, it seems to be a common problem that people have issues with the mop head snapping off of the mop pole at the head of the mop where the head inserts to the pole. Mine snapped in a way that part of the pole was still stuck inside of the mop head where the pole inserts. I loved this mop so much that when it broke the first time, I went ahead and paid the $65 to get another one. After maybe 9-12 monthsβ- the same thing happened again and the mop head snapped off from the pole again. I went back onto Amazon and checked out the X3 company storefront to see if they sold just the replacement mop so I didnβt have to pay $65 for anotjer mop, for a third time. They donβt sell replacement mop heads/poles or a combination of both. Other competitors seem to sell them, I just need to check the measurements to make sure itβs the same fit. Frustrated, I reached out to the company, but no one got back to me. I really wish they made replacement parts for this bc it really is a great mopβ- but nothing is great enough to have to replace it three times over at $65/piece. ((The last photo I added is another example of where the mop snaps/breaks and is just used for an example since I no longer have the broken pole/mop head anymore.))

Iβve been on a search for years for a mop I can like. This one is great! The 3 chamber system works great for always dipping the mop head into fresh water. Watching a video demonstration helps to understand how this works. The unit is lightweight & I wondered if the bucket would lift off the floor as I pull the mop out; happily, this is not the case. The bucket stays on the floor and the βteethβ squeeze the water out of the mop pad very, very well. The bucket is a slim design and stores away nicely. It is easy to empty & rinse out. I like the washable mop pads. I air dry them. Itβs nice that you get three. The unit was easy to assemble. The directions were clear and simple. The only thing that will require a little practice until it becomes effortless is attaching the pad to the mop head. The first end you put the pad on goes onto 3 sturdy tabs easily. When you do the same on the other side, itβs a little harder because you are stretching it onto the 3 tabs. Once you get it on, the pad stays on very securely. It will not fall off or be loose. The pad works very well and is worth the extra minute it takes to secure it. I am very happy I chose this mop! I was considering O Cedar spin mop, but like all the other mops out there, it dips into dirty water continually. The X3 mop gives me clean water each time and is a joy to use. Hallelujah! My mop search is over!π

I'm a single man who wanted an easy way to have clean floors for me and my dog. I purchase the X3 mopping unit two years ago and use it at least once a week. I'm not a sanitation specialist. But common sense seems to indicate mopping with clean water is better than using contaminated water as normal systems have you doing. The squeegeeing of the middle chamber is excellent in removing the dirty water so only clean water is used during mopping. The mop handle has held up well and it's pivoting head allows easy access to most floor surfaces. The pads seem good as I'm still cleaning and using the first of three provided. I use the "Fabuloso" brand cleaner and degreaser. My floors are clean and streak free when I've completed the mopping. Putting the mop pads on the mop head must be done correctly for the squeegee to work properly. This can be hard to do and somewhat challenging.
