I'm a single man who wanted an easy way to have clean floors for me and my dog. I purchase the X3 mopping unit two years ago and use it at least once a week. I'm not a sanitation specialist. But common sense seems to indicate mopping with clean water is better than using contaminated water as normal systems have you doing. The squeegeeing of the middle chamber is excellent in removing the dirty water so only clean water is used during mopping. The mop handle has held up well and it's pivoting head allows easy access to most floor surfaces. The pads seem good as I'm still cleaning and using the first of three provided. I use the "Fabuloso" brand cleaner and degreaser. My floors are clean and streak free when I've completed the mopping. Putting the mop pads on the mop head must be done correctly for the squeegee to work properly. This can be hard to do and somewhat challenging.

5 Stars for Ease of Cleaning Floors 5 Stars for Maneuverability 1 Star for Ease of Changing/Cleaning Mop Head I had a competitor's version of this product I used for 2 years. That version had only one side you could attach to the mop head. One of the three prongs holders for the pad on that product broke off just from use and the prong holders weren't double sided like this product is which I didn't like I like this version has double sided prong holders on the cleaning pads. Yet I found it a challenge to unsnap to change out the cleaning pads- the top tabs have arrows that make it appear you should slide the tabs but they don't slide they snap open. I'm not sure how durable the snap tabs will be with more use (I've only had it a month). Overall this product is great for doing just as advertised! I like the double sided prong holders to hold the enviro friendly cleaning pad securely in place. Love-love-love the clean and dirty water sided bucket which is super easy to assemble and clean when done. Anyone with normal hand strength will be able to use this product with ease. The only deduction I would give if there were a half star option is that someone with arthritis or weakness in their hands (like I have) is going to have difficulty snapping and unsnapping the tabs to clean the pads-at least until it's been broken in. I had to have my husband do it for me and durability of the snap tabs over time is unknown. Despite this drawback the product has earned a 5 star rating from me.

This is smaller than you might think, the box it comes in isn't much larger than a shoebox. I wasn't aware that a larger version was available until after I purchased it, but that's ok. It does what it says, though the quality is questionable. Everything seems light duty, probably ok for Joe homeowner but definitely not for any sort of commercial use. Like many other Chinese made items, it seems like it's made just barely adequate enough so you won't return it immediately, but it's not something I'd expect to last more than 5 years. Expensive considering that impression. It works well, but the middle chamber needs topped off with the turn of the knob about every time you dunk the mop. It's a little short without the included "optional" extension handle (unless you're a hobbit), and with it feels really flimsy. The plastic bucket is very thin plastic. The drain plug is cute but not really useful, really just a glorified cork that doesn't screw on or anything. If you're expecting something heavy duty don't bother, but for a couple of rooms it does a decent job. Compact footprint is nice for storage. If you've got more than about 200 square feet to mop I'd consider something else. We have a sheltie and a rough collie, so I vacuum first for pet hair, and the microfiber does a good job of getting anything the vacuum misses. The little "comb" on the mop bucket doesn't really work great, I usually have to clean off the excess manually before dunking the mop head. Not much more fun than dog duty in that respect. Also, the bucket isn't deep enough to submerge the whole pad, so it has to be flipped over and dunked again. Overall a good concept, and it does well keeping used water separated, but there's a lot that could benefit from refinement and beefing up.

Revising my review again to 5 stars …because I really appreciate the company contacting me to make it right by replacing the bucket. I really do love being able to clean all my floors without using dirty water. Great invention! Revising my review unfortunately. I reduced from 5 to 3 stars. After only 1 use, the stopper came out of the bucket and spilled water all over the floor. No matter what I do I can not get it to stay and water leaks everywhere. I'm so disappointed because it really does make mopping quick and easy. Initial Review comments: ***Best mop/floor cleaner and bucket! I love how I’m only using clean water. Great invention!
