So I will admit, I am not great about washing my floors. It is a hassle, and I don't have that many people tracking dirt all over my floors anyway. Plus, I am the sort of geek that likes cool, well-thought out gadgets in general. This mop actually works really well. The mechanism for cleaning the head and getting rid of excess water is good, the overall design is easy to use, it is lightweight, and feels pretty sturdy. I can't say much about how long it will hold up to repeated use since I haven't used it much... and I am not great about mopping my floors frequently. But it seems pretty solid. The only negative that I have - which is by no means a reason not to get it - is that the mop head is on a universal pivot. It has a tendency to spin around a lot, and as others have noticed, to lock into the magnets. This was more of an issue to me when it would spin so the narrow side was forward.     • A great mop and bucket

I read a lot of reviews before I bought this map. I was thinking about buying the O-Cedar brand but that did not have the best reviews and it also said the handle was flimsy. I decided on this one instead. First thing, the handle on this one is pretty sturdy and it is long. It's great for scrubbing walls, baseboards and trim. It does well under tight spaces under furniture. I think one thing to note, and I knew this when buying it, is that it does not squeegee the dirty water into a separate tank. The dirty water is going back in with the clean water. It's easy enough to switch out the water, but if you think that it's going to rinse your mop completely clean and give you fresh water with every swipe, it will not. It does do a good job taking the hair and dirt off of the pad, however. The bucket takes up very little space and if you wanted to take the mop completely apart every time, it would all fit inside the bucket. This is now my favorite mop to use for walls and floors. The dry side really helps ring out the excess water. I read the reviews and was prepared for the magnet in the handle. It is quite strong and tends to want to fold up a lot while washing walls but overall and great product for a good price.

So glad I got this. It works great! I’ve been using a swiffer wet jet for years and thinking it was just fine. Wrong!! It’s ok for quick cleanups but started to realize it was leaving my wood floors dull. So I gave this a shot. Just used Mr. Clean all purpose cleaner in this thing and it worked great. Easy to put together, easy to fill up and attach the pads. It worked just as expected. Mopped my floors great. I did it two times just to see how it worked the first time. The second go around, the water was pretty much clear. It is substantial and not flimsy at all. The pads stayed on and secure the whole time. Definitely would recommend. ... show more

    • Better than a Swiffer, but not Magic

TL;DR: This mop is an improvement over using a Swiffer, but not the unicorn it seems. The idea of this mop is stellar. It is sturdy, not too heavy, and it scrapes whatever you’ve cleaned off and leaves the surface clear to continue mopping (I have two cats, so removing fur was an important selling point for me). However, the rag/mop head ripped on the first use, directly along the top where the tabs attach it to the base. This made insertion difficult, as it bunched up on that corner. There was also some annoyance regarding the loose nature of the head’s position: it only clicks into a locked stance when flipped towards the “top” for rinsing. This made scrubbing at certain angles less efficient. Plus, the rod unscrews because of all the flip-flopping and requires adjustment to stay together. A slightly disappointing product that has promise, but will need some work to extend its life. I like it enough try fixing the elements I don’t find useful, rather than returning it. ... show more
